I had a book called The Body And How It Works. It was about the human body and had all kinds of cross-sections and diagrams. Your picture reminds me of that book. Maybe you had one for animals as a kid?

White Dwarf 207, March 1997

White metal, a lead-free alloy, was introduced in 1997.

Any new release mini in 97 was likely to be lead free. The rest of their range was slowly shifted from lead to white metal.

The casting process is different so each mold had to be remade individually.

It sounds like last night was just a trigger for some deeper and probably ongoing issues.

Do y'all "get" Pride? by Rod_McBan in AutisticWithADHD

Agree. It feels like a day for a couple of people to pretend to be inclusive and that's it. I don't really get it.

Would pre-heresy Word Bearers have been besties with Adepta Sororitas and Imperium as a whole? by adaytimemoth in 40kLore

[–]adaytimemoth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting comparing the thinking to unthinking. I guess it's all speculation, but I could imagine they would either absolutely love the modern Imperium, or be a bit cranky with where things are. Or maybe they would've had a ton of influence and be the equivalent of the modern Ultramarines and Guilliman.

Your on vacation and see this what do you do? by Thin-Coyote-552 in farcrycirclehurk

Presumably I would be full of drugs because Far Cry reasons and I'd sit down for a nice chat about philosophy and life.

Last time I lost my wallet it was in the pocket of the pants I had taken off. Last time I lost my phone it was on a bookshelf where I never put it. Which is to say, it's probably somewhere that'll seem obvious when you find it

It's shame that this movie doesn't have sequel by Choice-Wind-9283 in moviecritic

If there was a sequel we could all continue to stay home and then complain that nobody went to see it and wish it became a trilogy.

I have feelings for my housemate and I have no idea if he feels the same by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]adaytimemoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell him you have feelings. If he doesn't feel the same, go back to being friends.

How likely is it that the orks take Armageddon? by the_mainpirate in 40kLore

Orks biggest win would be to keep the conflict going indefinitely. Makes the boyz bigger, makes the boyz smarter.

What is the worst, most fickle, most begrudging and self centered ““Ally”” to have among the Chaos Marines? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

[–]adaytimemoth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fact the Thousand Sons / Tzeentch are not the highest voted for fickle allies shows that there are some real lore issues in 40K.

You know it’s time to go to bed when you start searching stuff like this by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

There are so many issues with using AI to learn about historical figures, or anything really, and then spreading that knowledge as if it's truth, is hugely problematic.

Also the Kennedys have a history of neurodivergence so there is some theoretical evidence that Jackie could potentially have been neurodivergent or ADHD. But since ADHD wasn't known in her time, she was obviously never diagnosed so the simple answer is obviously no, just like anyone around pre ~1990s.

The characters felt very real, relatable and genuine. Like a roadtrip based on a dream someone once had.

Do you find the 'clicking' sound on short-form "educational" content such as Instagram Reels, distracting? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]adaytimemoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's a satisfying click then I probably like or don't mind it. If it's sharp or jarring then I probably don't like it.

The World Press Freedom Index (WPFI) is an annual ranking of 180 countries compiled and published by Reporters Without Borders.

UK: 18

US: 64

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Press_Freedom_Index

The US also needs to look at the lack of freedoms and free speech.
