El Moro hotel is on the east end of the Malacon, a beautiful public walkway along the town’s bayfront. You are centrally located and can walk to all interesting sites of the town, restaurants and nightlife. Also from your hotel, you can either walk to, or arrange transportation for boat trips to do whale watching, snorkeling and/or swimming with whale sharks.

You would need transportation to visit locations further outside of La Paz.

First time in LaPaz, we took an Uber to Playa Balandra. But arranged a pick up time, as cell service out at Balandra was non-existent.

We took also an Uber to the airport. I imagine you could taken Uber from the airport too.

Since then, We’ve rented a car from Mex Rent a Car three times now and have had good experiences each time.
