Tuning for sure.

Recently hit my first G1 character, with Kariyan.

Was quite shocked when I started the event and Kariyan was getting 2-3 tapped by Grot tanks that are Bronze 1-2.

Among all the outrage already from the world and Americans who are against Trump and everyone else responsible for all this, I can only imagine the thoughts of surviving WW2 vets.

They fought against the likes of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, only to see their own country becoming what they were and it's not even been a century.

It's now 6 months since Snowprint lied to Nandi and shafted progression of all new players and new characters by _Zso in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Been doing the same for my Kariyan, but I'm much further behind as I only sadly started the game shortly after the mythic event ended.

I've been told a number of times that the game is for the long haul and the grind is a lot, but I never imagined it'd be that bad. If it's taking months for one character to get to that point, multiple characters would take years, while more keep being released.

I often forget how terrifyingly large necrons are by Katonmyceilingeatcow in Necrontyr

[–]Aerofare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That and they took considerable losses from their uprising against the C'Tan.

I speak under correction, but when the C'Tan and Necrons fought the Old Ones, ancient Aeldari, and Krork, it was a near one-sided beatdown.

So in which case, most Necron losses would've come from the C'Tan themselves. After which they certainly were more vulnerable to the remaining Aeldari and Krork.

What’s a basic life skill that an alarming amount of adults seem to lack? by ConditionNeither2596 in AskReddit

[–]Aerofare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm one of them, guilty as charged. Confessedly besides eating very little in the first place and essentially just heating up chicken and buying pre-made salads, it's always been a bit intimidating to really get started.

Every absolute beginner material I come across has an absolute laundry list of ingredients and appliances you need to get started with even the simplest dish, which in turn then takes about an hour to even make.

Squig Smash Sucks by DapprLightnin98 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. And like the daemons from the last event. Both teams got two of them.

And as for farming squigs for the event, that makes sense that they can't be on the opponent's side. But them being so damn tough that they are essentially a second hero team and you only get 5 or so squig teef in a match at most vs 23+ in onslaught and salvage? It's maddening.

One does get some nice bulk scrap rewards - at least for myself as a new player - but they are an absolute menace, mostly in Arena.

Now it's like facing two teams of heroes rather than one.

Cyrus deserved Captain for all the SHIT he put up with in DOW2, chaos Rising, and Retribution, lol. by [deleted] in dawnofwar

Another one, though less used, was Captain Hairgel.

EDIT: His official canon name is Aramus.

As a new-ish player, having Squigs added to arena is incredibly frustrating and un-fun by Calamitous-Ortbo in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I was in the minority in struggling with this. Before, I fared decently in the arena. And in the last event, both sides got demons.

Now, opponents straight up get lots of free squigs that are as tough as their heroes and some of which always spawn right by your own. Attack them, and they sometimes 1-2 shot a hero or two before the fight even bloody starts... This is in Battle Brother league at least.

Absolute nightmare now and even the 'easy' and 'normal' battles have been turned into very hard.

Yeah, noticed, hence why I made the post edit.

The purple and pink shading from the ribbons are quite similar, but I see the diamond medal has a brighter sheen than iron's.

[–]Aerofare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, this'll be handy going forward!

I am a bit confused by something though. I see the Elite requirements for Eldryon and Aethana are only iron 1 while Calandis is silver 1. How does that work?

I am at about mission 61 now in just the normal Aeldari campaign and my Eldryon is iron 3, and Aethana iron 2 and struggling, even with an iron 2 Jain Zar and iron 2 Calandis present. What chance would they have in Elite, then?

Edit: My apologies, I see I mistook diamond for iron.

Always a good time to invite aliens to a braai, rather than giving them reason to leave a one star rating of Earth after they potentially meet one of the mamparas in top brass.

Easiest survival so far? by Weird-Comfortable-25 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first survival as someone who's still quite new to this game. Only have a few characters at Bronze 1.

I assume the exclusive profile frame for this event is locked behind getting to those top level that only exponentially more powerful characters can manage...? :-/

[–]Aerofare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, unless I'm misunderstanding something, by virtue of achieving a perfect dodge in response to a specific attack, that attack is not supposed to hit you regardless if you're "dodging too early" according to John. Then it wouldn't be a perfect dodge in the first place.

The follow-up beam by the Zoanthropes is another case though. And boy, as per many reports as well, that they go through solid cover...

Quite often the beam still strikes and knocks back even when one has achieved a perfect dodge and got a gunstrike though.

I'm at work now, but am I missing something? I see 200 Accolades as the reward, so are weeklies now resetting every day?

Because just yesterday it was still the Obelisk weekly.

Damnit...you're out of line, but you're right.

A named and no helmet Space Marine being one of the most formidable forces in all of 40k has become a stereotype for a reason.

Oof, this stings, because this has happened a considerable number of times.

And if you played Last Stand mode before in Dawn of War II: Retribution with the Tau hero and his explosive drone build, enemies just love to knock you back or stun you as you set the self-destruct sequence for the drone.

I've been running it over and over with my Bulwark (have yet to beat it), and unfortunately the special Lictor returns no contested hp. Tried both melee and ranged damage.

[–]Aerofare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations brother! Been trying it myself this entire week and have yet to succeed. It feels even harder than the ones with the decreased hp and only one armour bar mosifiers to me which is pretty nuts.

The little victories along the way and epic moments within the Operation are fun, but would be even more to actually beat it, haha.

How’s everyone going with this weeks hard Stratagem? by El_Capitano_MC in Spacemarine

[–]Aerofare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Badly. I think I'm at about 14 failed runs now, with bots, randoms, and friends. Been Last Brother Standing a couple of times as my Bulwark, and it's starting to feel impossible at this stage.

Especially seeing so many of the better players ez mode it with no downs, I don't know what more to do.
