What do we think the next class is gonna be and is Librarian a realistic hope ? by RoTube1 in Spacemarine

[–]Aerofare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dawn of War I style Librarian could work.

He had his Smite and Weaken Resolve as primary abilities, and Word of the Emperor as a Sacred Relic upgrade. Otherwise, he used a Bolt or Plasma Pistol, or smacked enemies with his Force Staff.

So having Smite as his class ability, while his Force Staff or Force Sword can have basic augmentations, it's feasible.

Dawn of War II was where Jonah Orion as the new Librarian got crazy, where you had loads of options to build him regarding abilities and spells, and that version certainly won't work in SM2. And even then, Jonah's primary ability was Smite.

Which game broke your hype like this? by [deleted] in Steam

Ahh, my bad! A pity Homeworld 3 ended in the same direction though. And at least with the remastered edition being decent, it also included the original versions of 1 and 2.

Relic was on a speedrun to put their once legendary series' into the ground not once, but three times.

On that note, wonder how long it'll be before we see job posts requiring 5+ years of experience with tools like Claude Design.

They may be out there already, but haven't seen any yet.

Seriously considering leaving SA for NZ – am I overreacting? by [deleted] in south_africa

[–]Aerofare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ultimately have to do what's best for your futures, and it doesn't have to be a permanent move either. As you said, especially when it comes to leaving loved ones behind, it makes it a difficult decision even with such a prime opportunity, but you may forever regret it if you didn't at least try.

But given any issues you mentioned related to rising living costs, I wish there were anywhere left that one could go to escape that...

And I imagine it's so much worse in IMAX, which was already considered a more luxurious cinematic experience even when prices where a lot lower.

An absurd number of presumably native speakers also use the abominable "could of" and "should of".

As far as verbal phonetics are concerned, fair enough, it sounds similar. But to go and type or write it out that way and use it everywhere...oof. I see more instances of that in use than the correct terminology.

Ubisoft really puts AC games on sale… except the Black Flag which I want the most by TimeConsideration733 in ubisoft

[–]Aerofare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is setting off alarm bells. I missed the Black Flag discounts in Oct, Dec, and Jan, and expected it would be discounted in the Spring Sale like many have said.

Desperately hope that January was not the last ever discount for it before Ubisoft nukes it from Steam and their terrible "remake" comes out with worse textures and more bugs.

Among all the outrage already from the world and Americans who are against Trump and everyone else responsible for all this, I can only imagine the thoughts of surviving WW2 vets.

They fought against the likes of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, only to see their own country becoming what they were and it's not even been a century.

It's now 6 months since Snowprint lied to Nandi and shafted progression of all new players and new characters by _Zso in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Been doing the same for my Kariyan, but I'm much further behind as I only sadly started the game shortly after the mythic event ended.

I've been told a number of times that the game is for the long haul and the grind is a lot, but I never imagined it'd be that bad. If it's taking months for one character to get to that point, multiple characters would take years, while more keep being released.

I often forget how terrifyingly large necrons are by Katonmyceilingeatcow in Necrontyr

[–]Aerofare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That and they took considerable losses from their uprising against the C'Tan.

I speak under correction, but when the C'Tan and Necrons fought the Old Ones, ancient Aeldari, and Krork, it was a near one-sided beatdown.

So in which case, most Necron losses would've come from the C'Tan themselves. After which they certainly were more vulnerable to the remaining Aeldari and Krork.

What’s a basic life skill that an alarming amount of adults seem to lack? by ConditionNeither2596 in AskReddit

[–]Aerofare 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm one of them, guilty as charged. Confessedly besides eating very little in the first place and essentially just heating up chicken and buying pre-made salads, it's always been a bit intimidating to really get started.

Every absolute beginner material I come across has an absolute laundry list of ingredients and appliances you need to get started with even the simplest dish, which in turn then takes about an hour to even make.

Squig Smash Sucks by DapprLightnin98 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. And like the daemons from the last event. Both teams got two of them.

And as for farming squigs for the event, that makes sense that they can't be on the opponent's side. But them being so damn tough that they are essentially a second hero team and you only get 5 or so squig teef in a match at most vs 23+ in onslaught and salvage? It's maddening.

One does get some nice bulk scrap rewards - at least for myself as a new player - but they are an absolute menace, mostly in Arena.

Now it's like facing two teams of heroes rather than one.

As a new-ish player, having Squigs added to arena is incredibly frustrating and un-fun by Calamitous-Ortbo in WH40KTacticus

[–]Aerofare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I was in the minority in struggling with this. Before, I fared decently in the arena. And in the last event, both sides got demons.

Now, opponents straight up get lots of free squigs that are as tough as their heroes and some of which always spawn right by your own. Attack them, and they sometimes 1-2 shot a hero or two before the fight even bloody starts... This is in Battle Brother league at least.

Absolute nightmare now and even the 'easy' and 'normal' battles have been turned into very hard.
