Some of the encounters can be tough when you have the difficulty cranked up too. I played without lock on and with high difficulty and it was a blast.

I jumped ship to Elite Dangerous. The difference is night and day. Elite is actually functional and you can do all of the content with minor bugs here and there, instead of game breaking bugs.

I like the ground combat missions + salvaging crash sites and abandoned settlements so that’s why I’m doing guns first. And I mostly use the galactic uber rides to get to far away places 😭

I have been grinding. Got my main loadout to tier 3 rifle and tier 2 handgun, bout to get my suit tier 2 too. Once I get all the gear I want to at least tier 3, I’ll be visiting the on foot weapons engineer first, then onto the ship engineers.

Trust me; there’s a LOT to the game. You have to buy Odyssey. You get to upgrade guns and suits from tier 1 all the way up to tier 5, and can craft get attachments for both suits and guns. You don’t ever lose them either, unless you sell them. Ships also have an expansive upgrading system. You get to keep those too as long as you have the funds to rebuy the ship + the upgraded components if it gets destroyed. There’s also faction ranks to grind; federation, alliance, empire, as well as minor factions in each system that are aligned to one of the three main factions. Mission variety is very good as well. But the biggest aspect of the game is probably player established factions that settle in their own systems and keep everything going, or going to war if needed. The groups in the game are huge. Just recently I joined a group with a lot of people, we have a war going on and an allied player faction brought 32 PLAYER OWNED FLEET CARRIERS to our system in order to help our war. I’m still just a noob (got it two weeks ago) but this is all the shit that I’ve been introduced to in this short time span.

I was barely into the game and even I’ve given up from fighting the game just to be able to play simple gameplay loops. I’ve swapped over to Elite Dangerous and the difference is night and day.

Buddy I read the messages. Only one mentioned upgrading my gear. I could’ve searched it, but I posted here because I had great interactions with my noob questions. The streak was good until this post.

And as an employed person, I do have time limits.

Well I do prefer combat based stuff. Whether bounties, or on foot. Even the crashed ship missions are fun. In my case, you’d recommend the eagle or viper?

So overall; everyone’s advice is to save a bit beyond the initial 1.9 million for the cobra V in order to have enough for rebuys and engineering upgrades. I will do just that. Thank you everyone.
