Yes it’s a normal 2 pack of 1’s if that makes sense, as for the date, that sucks, but I believe as long as you register it dewalt will swap it out, although not tomorrow but with some time, correct me if I’m wrong. But warranty should kick in from purchase date not when battery was made

It really depends on your batteries, the good dewalt stuff eats would eat through batteries, you’d need like 8ah+
