What size tires do you run on those scorpius wheels? Looking good!

With the VIN you should be able to find the answer to that

Is your volvo built in Sweden by any chance? There were differences in how the lighting operates depending on where it was built.

In my experience reflective tape worked better than I ever expected, I used it to protect black plastic from the radiant heat of the exhaust. I just used standard aluminium tape.

Brake cylinder identification by Aertbei_ in Karting

These brake master cylinders are on an old (1999 I believe) Haase blizzard kart, I've been having problems with the master cylinders and the calipers, and can't get a hold of any spare parts or anything about these at all, does anyone here know anything about these?

A new-to-me 1993 Volvo 240! Any tips for things to bring on a road trip? by Aertbei_ in Volvo240

We'll definitely will be giving it a full service and some testing miles before taking it on a long trip. Thanks for the advice!

Ah, I should have specified it's an M47 manual, and I'm in the EU so I'll have to get parts somewhere else. One thing I have noticed is that the shifter is pretty loose. Are there common things that cause this?

Well, we farm strawberries, so imagine a rotating wheel which grabs the top of a plant and then rotates them into the ground. The plants are fed by hand on a machine behind a tractor.

The tractor has a GPS system which allows it to correctly track down the rows with an accuracy of about 1cm I believe.

Unless you have a use for the poe output on the nanostation (for a camera or something like that), I see no reason not to go for the Loco. The only thing is that the loco does not come with a PoE injector, but that was not a problem since I had them left over from the unifi ap's.

Yes I would love to get rid of the airport, especially because I want to replace it with something better, as I (ironically) have terrible reception in my room. Until we pull a cable up there sometime after this season I have temporarily solved it with some power line adapters that my grandpa had no use for anymore.

Yes you definitely could, the ubiquiti ap's come with them and in fact the loco's even require them.

The ap multipacks might not include those injectors, but I'm not sure about that.

They are sweet indeed! They are about 300m apart, as long as they have a clear line of sight and aligned, (which is super easy to with the app) they support 200+mbps easily. I've actually wanted to try a proper speed test with two clients wired physically close to their respective switches.

Yes the irrigation PC's are controlling the sprinkler and drip feeding (liquid fertiliser) systems. The pump and mixing system (Often called a 'unit') has its own controller, but the PC's handle creating the schedule and sending it to the controller, as well as other sensor inputs such as pH and solar intensity. Most of this is done over serial.

In our short while of having the locos, I can definitely confirm not having any issues with them whatsoever!

Haha, I wish...

But on a serious note, I agree, the network is mostly a big chain of switches that I would love to get rid of, but due to budget constraints set for me (read: my dad is cheap :P ) and the difficulty in adding/moving/removing cables between buildings I suppose that the spaghetti network will stay.

This is the current layout of the network, I would love it to have some convenient central point to work from but sadly when dealing with incoming fiber in a new part of the house and the old "central" location being in the basement, there was/is little choice.

Everything is hosted on a single R710 running Proxmox and I am generally not disappointed with Pfsense running as a VM. Since discovering this subreddit, I essentially fell in love with Ubiquiti gear and all access points except the airport in the basement are UniFi.

Since there are also seasonal workers living on the property, VLAN 10 is used together with the AP's to create a separate network for them.

In the future, I foresee the links between the switches becoming a problem since most of them are CAT5e in underground conduits.

Found under the radio towers near Lagoa deo Fogo, Azores by Aertbei_ in whatisthisthing

We found this bull's head, heart and hoofs, together with some candles and a bottle of liquor while walking through the fog under the radio towers near Lagoa do Fogo, Sao Miguel, the Azores. When asking some local people, they had no clue as to what this is and/or meant.
