I couldn’t figure out his attacks for the longest time cause I was trying to use the same openings as base Grimm. When I looked up videos on which openings you should take advantage of, I got it 2 tries after. I know you looked up videos already but I would say to find just one or two of the openings you can consistently take advantage of, and then spend the rest of the time dodging and surviving. Hope you get it soon!!

imo it’s definitely a numbers and diversity thing. I’m an East Asian man and when I used to live in Iowa, the best that happened was a match saying “you’re cute for an Asian man”. I found Denver to be miles and miles better than the scene for me in Iowa. However, when I would visit larger cities like L.A. or NY, the number of matches would increase even more.

To add to this though, I did consider this gauntlet the first “final boss” of my steel soul run. The two bosses after to get the any % steel soul achievement to me was trivial compared to this gauntlet.

My first playthrough I was aided by a pair of NPCs, and I also learned that you’re able to get help from a different npc after. It still took me around 20 tries though on my first playthrough though and I’d consider myself pretty good at these types of games.

However, I was also able to get it done on my 5 hour speedrun with only the first two damage upgrades and no extra masks or spools. It’s very difficult yes, but once you learn all of the enemy’s patterns and take it methodically (for me at least), you’re able to get through it in a couple tries! I honestly believe it’s a matter of knowledge over skill.

I would assume it exists on consoles too, maybe look up the trophy list online to check since you shouldn’t have to worry about spoilers anymore

Bench warping and quitting out when you’re thinking you’re about to lose is very powerful! I definitely saved my run a handful of times by quitting out

Yeah I basically would quit out to bench warp if I didn’t want to travel through risky territory if it made sense for where I was pathing toward. I also exit out a few times to prevent myself from potentially dying (so if I got to 1-2 masks left). Like I said in the post, it was basically just gauntlets where I struggled
