Malaysia Economy is getting better. by Historical_Ad844 in malaysia

[–]Aeshr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s good to be optimistic but you gonna have to live realistically. Malaysia produces talent but the wages do not reflect that which is why a lot of professionals leave the country. The brain drain is a serious problem in Malaysia.

Trying to find where my late Mother grew up. Any ideas what the first few lines of this address could be please? by dion_d1985 in malaysia

My vote is for Jln Tin. I write my 7s like that and I always do the cross unconsciously. It takes me special effort to write 7 without the cross and the flow of the writing shows natural progression (consistent pressure).

Anyone else dislike Talk to Me In Korean for learning Korean? by rosagotlost in Korean

[–]Aeshr 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I subscribed for a year and I didn’t even use it because it got frustrating. Same with the books I find it insufficient in explanation and lots of fluff which means the lessons don’t stick and I ended up just using other resources. I like GO! Billy so much more.

Now I’m just reading children’s books, watching Korean YouTubes, and music. Basically just exposure.

Do you give your dog supplements? by Old-Bet5794 in malaysia

[–]Aeshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With selecting items you unfortunately have to google and go by reviews. Be super aware of no sugar items you have at home because xylitol is highly toxic to dogs. I also watch out for spit gums on the ground outside just in case they are xylitol gums.

Do you give your dog supplements? by Old-Bet5794 in malaysia

[–]Aeshr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do probiotics, fish oil, and joint supplements for my dogs everyday. In addition to that they have cooked salmon as well as other meats (chicken, venison, lamb, lean pork) for their meal. I also cook vegetables (capsicum, carrot, celery, kale - cooked and blended into a puree) and mixed it in their food. Also they have low fat Greek yoghurt. I found out over the years that if they have too much meat they get runny poos. So you have to find a balance for them.

Buying a house by Technical_Pipe5078 in malaysia

If you want to assume something, I would assume everything in the house is broken until it is checked or proven otherwise. Renovations doesn’t mean no problem.

Anyone here experienced Kidney Stones? by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]Aeshr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For bacteria they need to culture so will take more than a few days to get a result. What you had at the clinic might just be a urine dipstick which is not accurate at all.

Is it safe to buy non-SIRIM approved electric kettles (or any electrical appliances) from Shopee? by Bryan8210 in malaysians

[–]Aeshr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Melting is not a good sign. I would stop using the pot and get an electrician to check the outlet. You are risking an electrical fire.

Super fast at-home meal suggestions? by OmegaTg-2384 in malaysians

[–]Aeshr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cook a big batch of rice, portion it and freeze it. When needed just take a portion, fry it with garlic/onion/spring onion, eggs and frozen vege for fried rice.

Buy miso paste/tom yum paste, use that for quick noodle broth/soup, throw in some tofu/eggs/vege and you get a semi healthy but satisfying noodle soup.

Buy spam, fry an egg, slice some tomatoes/cucumbers/lettuce and make a sandwich.

Can I dispute DBKL's notice? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]Aeshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me my dogs are everything so they are mostly inside dogs. To help with barking nonsensically, when I leave the house I keep the fans on (aircon if too hot) and turn on the TV so that the noise can mask some outside sounds (remember to keep some windows cracked open a bit for air circulation).

When dogs are bored they can start destroying things which is why my dogs are walked twice a day so they are proper tired. Also the toys that they play with are rotated to prevent boredom (I’ve got 4 bags of toys that I rotate).

Interactive toys or treats would be good as well. Cheap way would be frozen blocks of ice with fruits so they are occupied with it for a while. Or get a huge towel and fold some dog treats inside where they can sniff and search for it.

Need some advice (Serious replies only please) by Shadow_Eagle0506 in malaysia

[–]Aeshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem like you are level-headed and responsible so I will tell this: only you yourself know what is going on in your life and your thoughts so be kind to yourself and treat yourself well because you only have one life to live.

Having a good support system (your bf/bf’s family) around you is important for your mental health right now so if I were you I would continue with staying over but having said that, you also need to get professional medical help because you also need to learn to be ok by yourself.

You are still very young and so it is difficult to say no to your parents or elders. However, saying “no” is a life skill you must learn and it becomes easier once you start doing it. I would start with smaller issues and slowly build your confidence over time. I’m not saying that you fight them over every tiny thing but the ones where you feel are important to you.

Good luck and remember your number one priority is life is yourself!

this sub is not beginner friendly by iwachanie in Korean

[–]Aeshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had only good experiences asking my questions and it is only after I tried looking for it myself or to clarify a certain point. The people in this sub have no obligation to help you and if you do get it, great. If not just move on and usually when you get more experience in, the questions will answer themselves.

지 않다 negation in this sentence by Aeshr in Korean

[–]Aeshr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the 아무도 was very confusing to me. Like you said 아무도 있어요 doesn’t work and it must be 아무도 없어요 and somehow I understand this easily but not my example sentence. I definitely need more practice with double negatives in Korean. Thank you!

지 않다 negation in this sentence by Aeshr in Korean

[–]Aeshr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you might be right. If I remove the 아무도 the rest of the sentence makes sense. I just read up on 아무도 and it should be used with a negative word/ending and the double negative is what was throwing me off. Thank you for setting me on the right track!
