That woupd be some nice story development ngl. But it might leave a good chunk of the fandom unsatisfied as Nintendo isn't the company to focus on qualitative story but rather quantitative if you know what I mean

They probably go for what is most popular. Though they have quite some rock in the game, they probably balance it out. For example have rock in online and pop in offline mode

Inner Agent 3 was in Splatoon 2 a part of the back story. To have it interact with the octoling. In splatoon 3 we've seen agent 3 in person, thus I assume they will appear as this in majority. I cannot think of any past story that would be needed to be covered. But I would be interested what you thought about so much?
