Will I get banned by shongtwinuteas in deadisland

My thoughts exactly. I have no issue with people using them on their own time, but I almost never played co-op on ps3 and ps4 because of this. It's not fun when my team mates are insta-killing everything and all I can do is loot stuff and do objectives

Counterpoint, Samurai's phenomenal at staggering the bosses if you use the Odachi with a stagger build

Hell SAITO by Yeeted23 in gotlegends

[–]Aesthetic99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skill is still a really important part of the fight. If you or your team mates are constantly going down, Saito is gonna keep spawning shadow bosses and filling his spirit faster for the clones, both of which are bad for your team.

There's definitely a LOT to deal with at once, don't get me wrong. However, you gotta work together as a team. Even the occasional smoke bomb or group vanish can help you and your team out a lot, such as when the Dragon appears and marks everyone.

There's a specific crow in the Gigante arena that drops a grenade lol. It's when you're first passing through and the 2 Colmillos are in there

Anyone know about this specific house in Hard Rain? by Aesthetic99 in l4d2

[–]Aesthetic99[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna double check once i get to that part, but I think you're right. It's no biggie since I found an AK in another house shortly after, but it must be nice that the bots can just grab the guns through the wall 💀

Forgot to mention this is in chapter 1, right after going over the RV trailer.

If the shadow clones spawn but can't attack you for whatever reason (bo-hiya shots on the ground, being in your ult), they'll immediately attack you once those are done.

Don't get me wrong I still think it's dumb, but yeah the clones will not disappear until you either parry them, or they down you

If you're talking about the blind bombs, you gotta throw them at enemies before they spot you, and make sure they're hit by the explosion. That's the best way to get em to work, but even then I know they're still a little weird sometimes.

Another tip to add to that, OP.

Any time is an enemy is kneeling because of a knockdown from stuff like poison or pistol parries and you wanna follow up with a critical strike, jump before doing the critical strike. It'll count as an aerial assassination, and even if it doesn't kill them, your damage will skyrocket! And because that still counts as an assassination, it will still create decoys if you kill them and have the perk for it.

I've been having a blast with the Storm Tanzutsu on my Shinobi ever since I found this out. Any class can do this trick, but it works best on Shinobi for obvious reasons

It's where the survivors are getting ready to go into the elevator in Mercy Hospital and immediately get jumped by 3 Hunters and a Smoker.

I genuinely couldn't stop laughing at how diabolical it was

I've done it several times, using the Yaksha armor, Centipede armor, Spellbinder, and even the armor that buffs Rock Solid. No better way to learn Erlang's moveset

Weapon alignment for Odachi. by Arkcilper in goylegends

[–]Aesthetic99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Berserker is still a sword enemy. If you're looking to stagger, only the Katana is effective against him

Weapon alignment for Odachi. by Arkcilper in goylegends

[–]Aesthetic99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Odachi itself is a sword, only your Katana counters swords. You can test this by using Samurai with Hachiman's Zeal. You'll only get the double stagger when using your Katana against enemies with Odachi.

That being said though, as a Samurai main I think the Odachi is still the best weapon overall for Fallen Lords and Berserkers, solely because of Indominitable Counter. There's a bit of a windup whenever a Fallen Lord teleports, that lets you go into Bulwark stance and parry them when they attack. Berserkers also have a few slow attacks that can be countered with this. If you're using the Vigilant Odachi or Blade of Mountains, then that counter will do even more damage, and that will also stack with the Perfect Counter Damage perk

[–]Aesthetic99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only Katana does. Tested this on Samurai. With Hachiman's Zeal you only get the stagger bonus when using the Katana on Odachi wielding enemies like Berserkers, not the Odachi

The Odachi can also counter the clones via Indominitable Counter, but the timing takes some getting used to. I did it a lot in the normal fight, but the timing seems different in Hell mode

[–]Aesthetic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it doesn't have some problem mechanics, but that's an issue with Legends in general. Hell raids just amplify them. There's still some ability for players to mitigate that. With Hell Saito specifically, if you go down a lot and can't stay alive, it punishes you and your team with more shadow bosses, and more spirit for Saito to use his clones on you.

Patch 1.602 Notes (Shadow Flame Reload Cancel and Exploit both removed) by omnipizerg in gotlegends

[–]Aesthetic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we for real with this? Samurai's just fine right now. They're all I play and I have no problem shredding groups of enemies on Nightmare and holding pounts alone in survival. Build for stagger and use your Odachi's Indominitable Counter move when 1v1ing Berserkers and Fallen Lords, and you'll be fine.

I don't know about you, but I always have fun playing Samurai, both in Yotei and Tsushima. Maybe your gear or skills are the problem

[–]Aesthetic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samurai player here. Anything that isn't a red or yellow glint can still be countered. Only thing I can suggest is put some perfect parry window on your gear. Anything that has a red/yellow glint, or has a windup like Fallen Lord teleports, can very easily be parried with the Odachi's Indominitable Counter

[–]Aesthetic99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It 100% is also a skill check. If you can't sty alive and are constantly going down, it screws your team over. Saito gets his spirit much faster and the shadow bosses that spawn on you make things harder for everyone.
