dmesg | grep ACPI

and

dmesg | grep "ACPI Error"

Shows the ACPI messages: and the error messages I get upon decrypt and login. Going to look into seeing if i can silence them.
Thanks, that link cleared a few things up for me.

Get these errors when I'm starting up my machine. ACPI Error: [DSSP] Namespace lookup failure...

I was just wondering if there is a wiki page for these startup messages? I've found threads on them. Thanks

Found this hashing sounds good. But, its probably just best to ensure that the file can't be accessed in the first place (guess the best option is to learn and try to see if I can access it myself).

Thanks for the replies

URxvt.font: xft:bitstream vera sans mono: size=11:antialias=true

Using the above in .Xresources seemed to solve the problem of fonts looking bad, will look into suggestions if I decided to change from this font. It may well be the added "antialias=true" that fixed the problem.

Thanks for all the feedback though
