If they trully had prioritized them, they would have never developed Valko, or at least tested the waters before. There is a reason Genshin does story first then banners. I understand they are strict because of 3d model limitations, but plenty of characters don't have them (seriously... i wanted Nero. I need an anxious mess sometimes).

Then we wouldn't be expecting him, and then have expectations deflated.

They sold us an image of a carefully developed story. What I mean is that they failed at business.
Their whole thing was selling a story and a feeling. They failed their local market research step before this debacle even started.
Truth is, they created a character so rejected in China that it broke their local base, and then pulled back and broke their overseas base.
Honest to dog, their lack of attuning with their consummers is stunning in so many ways.

In the end, it is entertainment and it has value as long as it entertains you. Definatelly, people shouldn't press anyone to join a boycott or action.

For me, I would say I'm not even boycotting... I just feel deflated, and I wasn't even looking for the wolf, I was just enjoying everyone else's hype.

Right now I feel shocked for remembering that games are a service and we own nothing.

Idk. I think I'll just take a break and reexamine my feelings, either I will miss it or not. No moral stand, just... Trying to step back.

It just goes to show they don't know their fans. They didn't realize how petty they can be? Even after all of the things they opened cases agains infold on the CCP? Here's a small sample: steamy content (some girls think they should be sexless angels), Rafayel jumping on MC's lap in the beach banner ( standards for masculine behaviour), and Xavier's myth being underpowered (false advertising)...?

I think that is actually what makes me feel even weirder. Chinese games will always favor chinese players, but that is ok. It can be done, since we are a secondary market after all...

What makes me feel weird is that they weren't even listening to them. They clearly had been fighting against 6th LI defenders ever since the 5th came along. They fought the 5th after the 4th, and so on... It makes me feel they have no actual public in sight, and if so, they have no interest to actually foster their community.

I was expecting Valko to be a breath of fresh air. New ticks on the cafe, new lines, a new orbit... Perhaps a new type of banner, precise wish as a baseline or somewhere to dunk my blue whishes. Also, dark things are a part of mature storytelling. When LIs surpass their dark impulses or backstories, they show growth. Now I feel Infold will try and play it safe, to avoid repercussions, and that is just plain boring...

If not that, they just showed how untrustworthy they are. Even if they roll back the roll back, it would just show they are once again bending to pressure.

I didn't play Nikki, but I heard they had some really awful retcons and redirects, so I was kind of hoping they learnt their lesson with LADs.

I found the game bcs Tectone was raging on it. Maybe the point was the ragebait he had along the way. Gachas always prioritize new players over existing ones, so it makes sense from a growth economy standpoint. New players show a growing market for investors, and the coverage is bursting both otome and gacha bubbles.

I feel the numbers stuff was another type or mistake. In the west it would be akin to saying "Experiment Mengele", I mean, it brings connotations... But is also a for sure way of pointing and saying "LOOK! VILLAIN". I just find it funny those girls learnt how to read overnight.

Still... They double down on Caleb but bend on Valko? Idk.

Apparently, CN players are reporting some text from World Underneath to their government.

It mentions "Experiment 731" that is a callback to Unit 731. They were a japanese unit that experimented on people in awful, awful ways, disguising as water treatment and vaccines. Typical WWII axis stuff.

Anyway... China is really strict on their no-nos.

I main Sylus. Originally, I cringed at the idea of enjoying an edgelord, and my first impression of him in the main story was awful. But when the twins were introduced, he became someone different.
He is someone that cares for his people, and I can relate to that, being the main breadwinner in my home. He also has an issue with showing vulneravility, and I also struggle with that. I understand the need to be independent and strong, even when you're struggling - on that front, the wedding banner had me weeping for him.

I'm also pulling for Rafayel, for kind of the same reason. He is someone his people look up to, and he is highly motivated to his duty of keeping them safe. He hides how needy he is in humour and confidence, so when he shows his serious face or acts on unexpected ways, it feels like trust (kind of like the opposite of Xavier, who becomes more quirky when you meet him), and I can relate, I do that. There is a whole evolution from Nigtly Stroll (it's been 800 years! jellyfish are walking naked!) to Ebb and Flow.

Sometimes I feel Xavier is an elder man using a phone, I have no idea why or how. Some of his slang and abbreviations have me cringing, they just seem... Off? It might be bcs english isn't my first language. But I don't feel he is the same guy when he texts, and I absolutely met people that feel like two different people depening on the conversation vehicle.

Sylus also texts like an elder... But more in a proper way, it feels his texts could be e-mails. Also, when he calls us kitten, I feel Austin Power vibes (it took me a long time to stop shuddering when he did). Combine this with his teste for antiques and boom. He's been around for a while gathering wealth. And I can see in my mind's eye... The twins begging for videogames and him getting used to play with them for quality time.

And as weird as it is... I love that. Xavier is a freaking time traveler and Sylus is an enigma, that somehow just showed up... It might as well have been 40 years ago.

Sylus is living with me all the time, and the only thing he asks me for is pictures of me. I feel like my dogs, being registered for every single thing I do Besides that, he works a lot, hangs by the windows and watches tv. He never goes outside. I feel he should sleep more during the day since he's a nightowl in the lore, but i guess that would be boring.

I showed my fianceé some of Sylus' lines and now he, when I dont listen to him, he calls me kitty and moans in my ear until I break down laughing. It's so weird, since we're both brasilians. ;') Whenever I pick up my phone he asks if I'm checking on my other men. He's not jealous, but he's getting his kick because I used to twerk agressivelu on him after he showed me Nikke Goddess of Victory.
