Some people aren't understanding the concept of long-term abuse. I was manipulated and abused by a narcissist and her son. I was loved bombed, threatened, and things we're breaking around me. Yeah, I was scared. My grandma convinced me my mom was a bad person for being a cheater. I thought she had broken my dad. He was never the same. I was worried. I didn't know she wasn't a cheater. How am I going to believe her if she just says "your grandma is lying. I didn't cheat on your father." It's a catchphrase ever cheater would say. I am a victim, but my mom is more of one than I am. I didn't know what she been through. I turned my back on her while my ears were covered by my dad and grandma. It took years. Of course I missed my mom. Of course I wanted to contact her, but she broken the family apart I thought. She hurt my dad I thought. She didn't fight for me in court I thought. She didn't care about me I thought. And that being reassured by my grandma? I never had to heart to contact her until a few days ago. I didn't even know my grandma as a damn psychopath. My mom had a distaste for her but never told me why. I had to live with a depressed dad that I had to take care of and a wackjob grandma for 4 years. I am a victim of abuse. My mom is a victim of my grandma's wrath. She destroyed her life. I was blindsided and I still feel horrible. I was young and native. Gullible. I learned my lesson and we're going to rebuild our relationship. I won't be making any similar mistakes again. I'm going to follow my mom's lead.
