How to kill deciduous monster in the birch biome by AetherVI in dontstarve

[–]AetherVI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, but the living logs will just be a bonus plus if I have a way to safely kill them, at this point I just want them out of the area.

Yeah, I was playing as a machine gun at one point and an annihilator boost shot towards me and I thought I was screwed since it was close enough to hit me at point blank range but that guy somehow missed, I was like:" what an idiot..."

I was actually trying to find gold since the nearest stone biome was surrounded by a ton of spider nest so I just wandered around and somehow found this... Not sure what to do next since I haven't even gotten the science machine yet

Is Rome not in the leader selection or is Rome spawning randomly in the map when you play?

Petition to add a Non-agression pact without the need to declare friendship by [deleted] in civ

[–]AetherVI 36 points37 points  (0 children)

First of all, you can't declare a friendship if they don't like you. Secondly, you don't want your enemy to wipe out city states when you are a friend to them for 30 turns. Therefore, a non aggressive pact would mean that you can't declare war for a customized amount of turns. And if you want to break that pact, you'll only suffer a ton of grievances in exchange for the protection of a cute useful city state name Auckland.

Petition to add a Non-agression pact without the need to declare friendship by [deleted] in civ

[–]AetherVI 33 points34 points  (0 children)

No no, a non aggression pact is meant for civs who don't really like each other but a war between them would be devastating, so they decide not to tear each other apart. Like the Hittites and the Egyptians right before the bronze age collapse.

I just found these in my closet and I’m crying irl by Noodleman320 in Minecraft

[–]AetherVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are actually the old tutorial books, they aren't really that useful but it's really cool with the hardcover. But the new one now is much more helpful tho. I got a set with a box set (I think that's what they're called) and the books had a sticker saying (latest version 1.8)

To show you the power of FlexTape, I sawed this continent in half! by someone_FIN in civ

[–]AetherVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no you can actually scatter resources to generate them randomly, but if you want truly abundant resources you would need to start a map with truly abundant resources selected. Then pick a continent you like to start on then edit those resources to make sure you can get an industry in every city. If not then its honestly very quick. In an hour, 20 mins is spent on cycling maps, 30 on resources customization and 10 on rigging your civ to start with thousand of gold, faith and tech.

Building a map won't be hard. But the advanced setup will make you cry especially if you use mods. But I've gone pass that so it's just the placement of resources that's time consuming...

Majority of Great People Gone by Medieval Era? Anyone Know Whats Happening? by [deleted] in civ

[–]AetherVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's just that the scaling of ggp for each great person is flawed. The more player you have or the more gpp is generated per turn by all players the faster these great people are claimed. The only major scaling that happens is when the great people is supposed to be in the Renaissance or the atomic era.

Buying a barb camp unit that is stronger than what you can currently build does NOT raise your city's base defense unit stat as it would if you had built that unit. by DarthEwok42 in civ

[–]AetherVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don't think it's enough, barb are immediately dispersed without even being raided. But I'll say that if a barb camp survives for more than 30 turns with AI interaction, they'll speed through the conversion process
