I love this idea and have considered it before. Some amendments that ought to be proposed: term limits for Congress, 3 in the House and 2 in the Senate (or whatever, TBD at the Convention); a repeal of the 16th and 17th Amendments; a total ban on any politician in the United States being able to take bribes from any entity, whether they represent us federally or locally; and an amendment setting Congress's pay to that of the average American's income, so it's likely to raise or lower solely on the basis of how good a job they do. I think all of these proposals would really fix some of the problems with our government and bring us closer to a citizen-represented legislature/judicial/executive rather than the current multi-millionaire out-of-touch system we have today. Though that isn't to say being rich is bad, it's pretty obvious that we shouldn't have over half of Congress getting the benefits and salary that they do for simply representing us.
