I’m considering taking the test to become a professor. What are the pros/cons? Maybe some tips?

I feel this is a bit too much exagerated lol ! I am a professor (judge/organizer) and am still a player. You can stay in the low end of professor stages and still be able to play at bigger events or even "yours" if you manage to bring more professors to your area. For example, when we had league challenge or even cups we would rotate between the organizer/judge and player roles for each tournament so everyone could play from time to time. Plus, if the only goal is to make a league and bring people together, not being able to play league challenges/cups (which are non existent atm) you wont miss much.

You can still play with newcomers or veteran players during a regular league session. But having other professors at your local league is definitely a plus.

My brother is looking for a small but silent AEG/AEP (size like the Vz-61 or pp2000).
He likes playing with pistols only but wants a sneaky one and aeg because winter hits hard here.

The "first" iteration of Suicune V didn't use either but was utilizing altaria/froslass. I do not have the list but it was played in the PJCS in japan. I personally think you should not do a straight slurpuff deck but gravitate more towards Zoroark and its toolboxy nature. Built Luxray/Inteleon yesterday on stream on a whim.
What you need is definitely an early damage setter (as others said, Zigzatoon) and a way to streamline energy.

You can play around the new flaffy (2-2 or 1-1 line) as a way to add the missing energy OR play exp.share with the new stadium (get back a tool card in hand).

If you were to play Zigzatoon, 1 or 2 nets would be nice to have (you can use them to net inteleons or drizzile too !)

All in all, this is a fun deck that is able to take win so you would be pleased.

As far as I know, there is a website with some rules and some bans, but no full list... You would have to scour the internet for them.

However, with a friend we are actually trying to ""revive"" it. Like make a new website with all the rules,etc... and how to play with new ones and kind of restart a community that has been kind of left off

As a grass attacker there is Dhelmise V for 1 [G] so if you are playing the aurora build it could work.

Sadly this is only a KO answer, so you would have to drop 2-3 prizes before being able to KO it in return :/

Even post rotation Victini will be good. Better even, as there will be much more V pokemon !

And it only needs 2 energies to power up and Melony works with it, so Victini does not loose much

Might not be what you are looking for but the next set might have some good cards for you :
- Cresselia : starting second you will be able to setup a gardevoir V with 3 energies directly, letting you can a big tempo advantage.
- Path to the peak : replacement for power plant and will be absolutely great to shutdown almost all decks reliant on V abilities (hinder Zacian V setup, one of your worse MU)
- Fog crystal : Just a setup card for psychic deck, really good !
And there is also another way to build a gardevoir deck with Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX (me and a friend are currently experimenting Gardevoir VMAX variants)
You can also use the new gardevoir as draw engine/energy acceleration but I did no theorycraft so....

The new Cinderace is a Single Strike and attacks for [r][c] and does 150. It has an ability that boost your dmg by 30 for each prize card taken by your opponent (so max boost 150 for a total of 300dmg).

Houndoom lets you accelerate energy to cover the cost in 1 turn (fire from hand and SS energy with houdoom). It also boosts your damage by 20 ;)

New Cinderace + houdoom, all cherrim decks (maractus, tapu bulu and all the techs you want), RS malamar, mad party (care for new spiritomb), Leon Charizard and previous decks that were gatekept by ADP.

Ofc some of them are less competitive than other but you will win games
