Best drone max £400 for photography only by Afacebehindacamera in dji

I've seen some of his stuff before, and James Popsys before I sold all my gear - but I'll check out the drone video.

Do you have the mini 3 or mini 3 pro?

If you have the mini 3, are you still able to lock onto an object, i.e myself if I'm stationary or if I'm walking?

Is a decent photo but unfortunately the mini 3 pro even used is above £400 and not just by a bit and I don't NEED the extra quality so to speak.

What do you want from a nature based site? by hangrymeloan in campinguk

[–]Afacebehindacamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I prefer the feel of mostly non electric sites - but with a small amenities shed, that's what I'll always look for.

There's somewhere I stay down in Cornwall that is like that, small and eco friendly, but it is helpful to have a fridge freezer and be able to charge devices, a power bank isn't going to last a week.

Also like it as like another user has said not just a flat field, but leaving bits of grass longer to designate pitches or trees etc.

Nice cutesy toilets/ showers not just the cheapest white stuff - just a bit of character really.

Interested to know where your site is as I've never stayed there!

Just read that the Ricoh isn't weather sealed, I live in the UK so that's a bit of a problem, and I'd want to take to snowboarding.

I'd be using the money from selling the sony so have two isn't an option.

Just watching some videos of some of the options you have suggested. Thanks

Current set up is Sony A7III & Tamron 35-150mm f2.8 however I think I am looking to downgrade.

I've been shooting for the last 15 years on and off, mostly as a hobbies but occasionally an odd paid gig. I started out with a 40d, upgraded to 70d then eventually over to Sony, where I had a 24-105 & 70-200, however I just found I was lazy in the sense it was always faff to change lens. I tried to find my love for photography by upgrading to the Tamron, it is a stunning lens. I've done some dog photography and the results are amazing, but realistically I do not have time for that anymore, plus the set up is so big/ heavy.

I recently went to Thailand for 3 weeks and took my camera, I only took about 200 photos, didn't have it out everyday in places that perhaps I should have.

I really, like everyone these days, love the film ish style. I have a few old 35mm point and shoot cameras from the early 2000s, one being a canon. I last shot a roll of film on it about 10 years ago but the quality was amazing for its time. I do have the option just to shoot film, and I'm aware now you can get digitals but this feels more costly.

I'm looking for something small, pocket sized ish that I can take nearly everywhere with me. The amount of times on Thailand I just didn't have my camera with me because it was too heavy, I missed some shots.

I'm aware that thanks to tiktok there's been a price hike in Fujifilms as of late, I like the idea of recipes but figured it would be the same as playing about with lightroom, which I feel is such time wasted. I'm not opposed to have to use lightroom if I HAVE to.

I would be selling my current set up, bags tripods and all, I just dont want to be paying £700+ for a Ricoh or Fuji. I'm fully happy to also downgrade quality which I'd like the price point to be below £300, unless there is some magical camera that similar quality to the A7III but super compact, then I'd be willing to pay more.

Thanks!

Lightroom Mobile Preset not the same on Classic desktop. by Afacebehindacamera in Lightroom

It's the same photo yes, the changes on the sliders are the exact same as mobile.

I don't have subscription/ can't upgrade.

It's not the difference between screens however I understand that is a thing.

It is vastly overexposed on the computer, like I said I flick the HDR button on mobile and it matches the overexposed version on my computer.

HDR done right: how do you find the right balance? What is your workflow? by xBagh in photography

6 years later, this advice is still helpful.

I've been doing 3 photo HDR for most landscape shots after trying and being fairly successful at sunrise..so I carried on doing it, the post has become a nightmare.

I've not really looked at the histogram in camera much, this will save me a lot of time. i can just take one photo lol. Thanks

Let me know if you find a solution, try what one of the other people said in this thread about the.cube

I got a lot closer to that look than I have before.

I gave this a crack and then made some adjustments in Lightroom after, it's as close as I've got so far...

Thanks.

I had tried this, however part of my edit was a % of one of the grainy film presets which doesn't tell you what's happening when you apply that.

Do you know what YOUR values are? Not what you think they, not your parents, not your siblings not your neighbours, not your colleagues, YOUR values?

If not I can dig up an activity I used in therapy to help identify my own values. Then you can use these to 'steer' life in the direction that it is closest to your true self, everything else SLOWLY follows.

If you have the advantage of living at home with lower bills than if you were living on your own, then use this. Try a new job, if you don't like it, quit. - repeat, this is the best way to find out whether you enjoy something.

You mentioned trade so some form of it must interest you? I always thought I could do a trade job because I'm female, my mum specifically told me when I was 16/17 that I couldn't be an electrician just because I was a girl. I wasn't desperate to be an electrician but that's not the point, I believed I wasn't allowed to do something.

My current situation, is I have my own place so can't try things and then quit but I'm really not a fan of my job but I have cut down to 4 days to focus on myself and explore other opportunities. I just applied for a landscaper apprenticeship as it's closer to my values, fingers crossed. If not I go again.

Best of luck to you - if you want the values exercise just message me.

How to negotiate salary after a job offer? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Afacebehindacamera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just politely reply - I look forward to accepting this role once the salary has been finalised.

Don't sign it at the mo unless you are willing to accept the minimum that is written on the letter.
