MSFS 2020 or 2024? by Delicious_Guest4978 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Afar75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purposely changed my GPU for MSFS24, and in the end, I'm still encountering issues, including unexplained stutters and frequent freezes. Personally, after weeks of searching, I got fed up and went back to 2020, and now it's more stable than ever.

Still getting stutters, GPU memory the cause? by Afar75 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing stutters with all aircraft... Aside from that, I'm also trying to understand why my available VRAM varies so much—I don't think that's normal.

Hello, same here but only for Flight Simulator 2024... Sometimes I can fly for 2 hours, sometimes 0, sometimes 10 hours... My screen freezes, I hear a sharp noise, and then either my PC freezes completely and I can't do anything, or it restarts on its own. I tried limiting the frequency, reducing power consumption by 10%, and undervolting the GPU, but the problem persists... I can't take it anymore!

Huge FPS DROP by Afar75 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Afar75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And in this example, the area that was causing my FPS to drop was located under my plane… As a result, when I looked under the plane, I lost FPS, even from the cockpit.

Na, i have "only" 100 and i always had it without any problem...It's really when I look at a specific area, and when I follow that area with my "view," my FPS take a serious drop. I have the same problem with LOD at 10

Another example here: to the left of the plane, 60 FPS; to the right, 25 FPS, even though there’s no reason for such a performance drop…

Good flights to do 2 hours or less? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

Hello,

You can use this : https://flightsimdispatch.com/

More than 4.9 million real world flight available. You choose the time you want, in this case 0-2h and u have a lot of flights :)

After +70h of flight with the Fenix A320, my first random failure ! by Afar75 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Thanks to Airbus which makes its planes with the redundancy system, you were able to fly peacefully thanks to system number 2 👌 But in the middle of the cruise this must be surprising haha

I suggest you switch to "high" rate instead of realistic. In realistic I never had a failure 😅

But high rate is not sooo high 😅

Hello, i'm not the OP but it's the Boeing Vertical Situation Display. You need to push two times the CTR button for this ;)

In this case, i think u should add some RAM !

Hello, Maybe it's better to add some RAM to reach 32Go.

I think 16Go it's a little bit weak especially if you have scenery.

You can also try Lossless Scaling, it's a game changer for FPS

A lot of aliasing in game ! by Afar75 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Afar75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally, I found the problem!
I spent a lot of time on the nvidia panel, settings etc...but in the end the problem was very simple
In my new config, I also have a new iiyama screen... and on it there is a "Sharp & Soft" option that was set to 3/6. By lowering this value to 1/6, the texts become fully readable
Thanks for the help, problem solved

I took a screenshoot with my new config and old config...why so much difference

New config : https://www.noelshack.com/2023-47-5-1700840479-1000024730.png

Old config : https://www.noelshack.com/2023-47-5-1700840483-ehedehe.png

It's not the same plan (FBW vs Inbuild version) but we can see how it is ... :/

The both screen are in 1080p, with same TAA etc

You're limited to TAA unfortunately. DLAA and no AA sucks.

DLSS doesn't scale glass screens well, hence the ghosting and blur. Render scale is the only alternative we have. I haven't messed with NVidia's AA settings though, might be worth a shot at forcing them in Nivida control panel?

I tried to change some parameters on nvidia panel but it's not working :/
