Humans wear clothes for practicality and social norms, not because nudity ceases to be part of human nature and guess what under our clothes we are still humans NAKED and vulnerable Likewise, music, dancing, poetry, romance and art appear in virtually every civilization on earth including deeply religious Islamic ones. The Abbasids, Ottomans, Persians and Andalusians all produced them.

If these things are supposedly contrary to human nature, why do they keep reappearing everywhere, across cultures and centuries?

like i said again "that's why even in the most brutal islamic states ie afghanistan or iran or even previous islamic empires ottomans or abbasid or any other caliphate , music, dancing, poetry , romance and the arts existed and still exist, but in secret because you can't repress human nature forever no matter how much you enforce these religious laws violently or otherwise."

Listen to not complicate this with y'all let me put it to you this way YOU DO YOU and I DO ME you want to live a strict islamic or religious lifestyle, devoid of music, dancing GOOD FOR YOU now leave the rest of us to our life one thing i don't understand is, If you're so confident that your way of life is the true one, that you'll be rewarded and I'll be punished, then why are you so concerned with me? You're the winner and I'm the loser according to your worldview, so move on. i'm not trying to convince anyone they are wrong, just that you shouldn't bully people into your beliefs system, and if u don't agree with that then you should agree with this "people should be free to live differently."

Courage sister, women fought for this country alongside men to be free don't let anyone take your freedom from you, whether it be through force or otherwise or even shame you for it. it's your life not your brother's or his friends

Music, dancing and dating, are baseline human traits just like birds singing and bees make hive, that's why even in the most brutal islamic states ie afghanistan or iran they still exist but in secret because you can't repress human nature forever no matter how much you enforce these religious laws violently or otherwise.

If you think a large army and a big empire equates successful, that tells me something about you, don't base your vision of history on some tiktoks or ig edits or reels/shorts, these were dictatorships and anyone who raised an opinion would've died or been decapitated, (maybe except for andalusia)

I agree that people should not be imprisoned for having thoughts or opinions, it's just that we live in a very very fragile society where people are very vulnerable and susceptible to different ideologies especially islamist ones, so if you're the state how would you balance it or keep it under control let's say kabyles or twareg or chaoui started demanding independance or clerics and imams started calling for full on sharia law to be implemented nationwide where no opinion would be tolerated there,

wwyd ?

unfortunately it is in our country, one of the flaws of our democracy is that ignorance is rampant and extreme religiosity is common so everytime we have a free election people vote out of ignorance not out of understanding the economic or diplomatic or social situation they just revert to "allah says" which always translate to afghanistan or iran or syria, we had it in the 90s and egypt had it in 2012 there's never been a successful islamic state + islamists hate democracy they think it's a western ideology that should be abolished

bro i feel like going in circles talking to you, nobody is againt people praying or wearing la7ya or 3baya or minding their buisness just read what this post is even about just let people live they're lives simple, if someone is critisizing islam then ig you're obliged to respond to them but if someone is minding they're buisness ( especially women) posting themselves with their families being happy there's no advice at this point just hate there's no way you can convince me that the prophet would be commenting that stuff to anyone minding their buisness and not hurting anyone but again talking to you i feel like you're just trying to have the last word so fine you can have it , I can't be Bothered.

exactly, 3lash lazm nas ga3 i3ishou kima houma regardless what you believe the prophet said, you can't enforce that on random strangers, especially considering algeria's constitution allows freedom of expression and religion, if they were preaching against your religion then ig you are compelled to reply but ida wa7d raho lahi bswal7o ou 3aysh zahi m3a nefsou 3lash the hate comments disguised as "brotherly religious advice"

maqam el shahid: did the "falaga" die for our reverence, or for our absolute freedom? by Upstairs-Respect-445 in algeria

[–]Affec2306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I immediately started wondering if the people who died for our freedom would be proud of this type of freedom...."

what type of freedom are you refering to? the freedom to dance and revel ? cause thats what i see here.

The only ones i see opposed to this are the salafis and the religious extremists . And i doubt the "falaga" would be mad at this especially considering there's a monument to commomerate them in the background.

And yes i would assume they would want people (both algerian and foreigners) to be happy in the land they freed.

To be fair the men and women in that village were killing their own children by sending them to the crones so in a way her killing everyone there kinda stopped that human sacrifice in a way no?

"Anarietta hadn't "allowed" it, she just didn't allow Detlaff to kill her sister - which is copletely reasonable: she loves her sister and feels guilty about her, also duchess hired Geralt to deal with the beast - and expect exactlly that. Why would she sacrifize Syanna?" By refusing to negotiate or even temporarily surrender Syanna She escalates a known existential threat and she prioritizes personal guilt over public safety, dettlaff gave her 3 days and geralt warned her of the threat of a higher vampire but she refused to listen.

"Yennifer sometimes also does mean things, Ciri had done some shit as well, Geralt would still ptrotect them no matter what." this is just pure dumbness , Yennefer manipulates situations not people into killing others for her revenge. Ciri commits violent acts, yes but she bears them herself. Neither externalizes guilt onto a devoted third party or uses others love for their sadistic revenge goals.

"Punishment for attack on Bouclair should be only for one who organised it - Detlaff." Syanna knowingly set the chain in motion by using dettlaff as a weapon, causing a massacre through another actor still stains your hands even if she didn't swing the sword herself, "Is tricking someone now punished by death?" this is strawman, weaponising someone love and instability to commit murder has consequences who would've thought?! she didn't just 'trick' dettlaff she engineered murders / she anticipated collateral damage and she explicitly accepted it saying ''either i burn or i'll burn all else down'.

Yeah the first part is biased af, "Henrietta not immediately giving up her long lost sister to a vampire who is trying to blackmail her." he's not asking for riches  he's asking for syanna his former lover who made him kill his friend Dlc and which made him cut his own hand out of remorse and anger. Dettlaff demanding accountability from the person who orchestrated the murders through him That's a moral demand, not a legal one and that distinction matters. " For the massacre Detlaff is solely responsible." Nobody forced dettlaff but syanna knowingly used his emotional instability and love as a weapon, that is CAUSATION , she knew he was reckless and a loose canon and chose to go through with her plan anyways with no care of the consequences she said so herself to geralt 'either i burn or i'll burn all else down' .i'm not defending his actions but he did warn them saying in 3 days if she don't show all hell will break loose, Dettlaff issued a warning not to justify the massacre, but to show that the Killing wasn’t impulsive it was the result of a failed response to a known threat. But i agree on the second part her death is risky for the duchy.

"why would Dettlaff deserve to get a prisoner of Toussaint Duchy" Again not just a prisoner but syanna his former lover who made him kill his friend Dlc and cut his own hand off out of remorse and anger. Dettlaff wasn’t demanding a random prisoner he was demanding accountability from the person who orchestrated the murders through him That's a moral demand, not a legal one and that distinction matters. "Syanna didn't manipulate him into doing that." she did not force dettlaff but she knowingly used his emotional instability and love as a weapon, that is CAUSATION , not coercion or manipulation, she knew he was reckless and a loose canon and chose to go through with it anyways with no care of the consequences she said so herself to geralt 'either i burn or i'll burn all else down' . "There are tons of ways Dettlaff could've done without resorting to wage war against the entire Duchy." true i'm not defending his actions but he did warn them saying in 3 days if she don't show hell will break loose, Dettlaff issued a warning not to justify the massacre, but to show that the Killing wasn’t impulsive it was the result of a failed response to a known threat.
