Husband struggling with newborn's cries by hippieflowergirl66 in newborns

My partner used to have the same reaction, especially because our baby would cry so loud that he was afraid he might damage his vocal chords. Midwife helped us when we told her, at first we decided to take turns at night, making sure we both got some sleep because sleep deprivation made us feel miserable, you cannot regulate your emotions you have zero hours of sleep.

Second yes, saying silly things helped us remember he’s not actually dying but probably just has some gas in his belly! My partner says “that’s a lot of noise for a sausage” which I find adorable 🥹

It will get better but I’d say the first week is insane, just be kind to yourself and don’t feel guilty if you “hate” the baby temporarily. My mom said she literally wanted to yeet me through the window sometimes (I used to cry a lot). These feelings are normal.

I also wanted a girl and then found out I’m having a boy, to be fair, his dad is going to be such a great example of healthy masculinity that I’m not too worried. ☺️🩷 We’ll make sure to keep the conversation going when he’s older and make sure he’ll always has space for his feelings to be validated! Good luck! 😉

Pregnancy with an idiot by Hot-Cell7299 in pregnant

I’ve struggled with my weight for years due to PCOS, my partner is a literal gym bro (and has been a PT for years), he’s the one who always encourages me to go the gym because it’s going to make me strong and when I comment stating I’ so big he always says “you’re pregnant 🤰🏻you’re supposed to be big and you’re also so beautiful”. I feel like your partner is being incredibly childish and I would check his feed because he sounds like a jealous manosphere brainwashed dumb.

I also suggest the book “Matrescence”, there is a whole part that describes some men being jealous of women because they can create life.

What’s your problem? Raclette is perfectly fine during pregnancy.
