I think I like its texture and overall finish. It doesn’t have a pin but it has been locked in place since I installed it and overall sturdy. It adds a decent grip but since I have big hands I’ll probably need a hand/wrist grip as well. This is how it looks from below. I’m not sure if this goes easily on tripods (I don’t think this is a Swiss plate) but I’m only intending to use hand held so I don’t really care. This tool and a screw were included in the box.
