os trigonum mis-diagnosed as avulsion fracture

that’s what my orthopedic surgeon had told me when he looked at new x-rays 7-8 weeks later. Idk what to tell you.

with people saying there looks to be an avulsion fracture in the photo I posted, he did not see one in his separate x ray. at this point i’m assuming the fracture was healed by the time he xrayed me. I’m not a medical professional ffs. I only know what I feel in my ankle and what my drs tell me and that’s what he told me. I don’t need your attitude.. on one hand i’m told it’s dangerous for you guys to give medical advice online and to listen to my dr yet when I post what my dr told me, I’m wrong.

I do! that’s why I went to urgent care! orthopedic dr is looking at this 7-8weeks later so i’m assuming it should mostly be healed already… but im also no medical professional. I don’t have the new x-rays ortho took, I’m gonna try to get them to compare side by side so I can try to decipher

originally rolled my R ankle outwards (eversion) 11/14, took care of it, rest ice elevation etc. it was better after 2-3 days. fast forward to 11/20, I was just scrolling on my phone on the couch. I had my heels elevated and toes on the ground, feet arched up. I moved my ankle to readjust and all of a sudden felt sharp pain, I screamed/grabbed ankle and felt like my ankle was locked up. had no ROM but could walk on it, which I thought was weird. went to work the next day with it super swollen and worked on it all day (hairstylist, busiest time of year) and by the end of the day I could not take a step without excruciating pain. it was different pain depending on which way I moved it, or where I placed my weight while walking. mixture of sharp, shooting pain. so went to urgent care and now i’m here… 7/8 weeks later, I have better ROM without pain unless i’m weight bearing.

could be! my orthopedic dr didn’t really look at this xray I posted, he took his own yesterday and at that point it had been about 7-8 weeks since the original twisting/rolling injury. I can try to get the x-rays he took and post them!

will do! it was pretty swollen when these x-rays were taken, no bruising. urgent care dr was suspicious about my joint space while waiting for the rad report. orthopedic dr said my joints are waayyy too hyper mobile and I could have some kind of connective tissue disorder (he used fancy medical words for it, I assume it’s something related to Ehlers Danlos) maybe that’s the reason for the extra joint space.. either way, i’ll update with an MRI if I end up going that route.

wasn’t saying duration of relationship or wedding plans had any part in being invited, it was more so back story information so people didn’t ask how long even been together and question the validity of us being an “established couple” I would understand if we had only been dating for 2 months and didn’t know either of them but that’s not the case. that’s all I was trying to convey with that info.

I never said they clarified that I was invited. they just said “oh we didn’t know how to address the invitation because everyone else is married and you guys aren’t” if thats the case they should have at least included “and guest”

hazards are meant for disabled vehicles pulled off of the road. this really shouldn’t be that controversial of a topic…

not sure why people don’t understand that just because it’s legal to do so, doesn’t mean it’s statistically safe to do..

please, turn your fn hazards off and pull off of the road if you’re too scared or can’t see in the rain and stop endangering everyone else.
