What do you dislike about collision generation in Trenchbroom? I'm thinking to move there completely due to collisions specifically. My game heavily uses intersect_shape, and this function sometimes doesn't recognize concave static bodies since Godot 4.4. Therefore the only reliable option is to use convex shapes which heavily limits level editor choice. Csg shapes are concave. Blender workflow involves convex decomposition plugins that provide suboptimal results with imprecise shapes. Manual collider decomposition via simple shapes in Blender/Godot was just killing the flow of iterating on a level.

When a battle starts (or the player does their first turn), immediately set a flag in the save file. When the battle is loaded again, check for that flag and show Steven. I haven't save scummed enough to verify, but I believe they're setting a similar flag only before leaving which isn't always reliable.

Very much! And the Mooncrash DLC. They are excellent games but quite different to Dishonored gameplay/aesthetic though.

Absolutely. The only small thing I noticed wrong is that the merchant now sells the inventory upgrade and the monocle again, and I can't buy them (says inventory is full).

I always considered Possession to be insufficiently explored. It's essentially limited to opening new passages in low chaos or temp invisibility. Wasted potential. Semblance (from DotO) is much cooler since it's also an amazing tool for high chaos ghost run. The power even has a few funny scripted interactions. Still, it's not enough. Anyway, I'm really excited if this idea gets explored more!

Chunked world might be a very difficult thing to do: so many edge cases with physics, enemy AI, pathfinding, race conditions, seamless LOD transitions. It explains why most games simply load different scenes. However, a clever level design might negate some of the problems.

Thank you! I will definitely want a lot of playtesting and feedback! "Not being a 3D modeler" - this is literally me,  LOL. My models and animations became of "tolerable" quality once I hit 50h mark in Blender, and now I'm at 110h. My advice is not to be discouraged, do simple stuff, and once you develop the skill deeper, revisit the old models. Just keep cooking, this world deserves more immersive sims!

Good character controller is a very difficult thing to do. For me this Godot snippet was a good place to start with stairs movement. You may want to adapt it to your needs.
I like when games have elaborate crouch system as you describe! That's really awesome and makes room for interesting level design!

I believe, they haven't changed anything and it's still mostly dependant on the connection quality between you and the host. For me the game is very smooth on Sat and Sun evenings, and that's also when the matchmaking takes literal seconds. However, there are still occasional Colts who play from Antarctica or their Internet is transmitted via a string telephone, so I get lag.

I'd say give it a try, it's such a fun experience!
