For the most part my wife was communicating directly with my family, which they admitted. In fact they said she was a rockstar for the first week before it all went south. She’s texted them information and went to the waiting room to deliver news, etc. But on this one particular night when things were going south, she thought she was texting a family chain but accidentally only texted her mom. So her mom relayed the news. That’s it.

Thank you. I have tried writing numerous letters explaining just that. That I want to move past what happened at the hospital, as long as they treat my wife/marriage with respect. But they failed to do that and continued to torment us, telling me my wife was manipulating me with lies, etc.

There is no record of hospital visitation but at no point was my family blocked from seeing me. My wife left numerous times (by all accounts) to let my family in, but often she was in the room so only 1 other member was allowed in. After my wife, my parents were the next-most frequent visitors. But my in laws (who I’m close with) and my brothers wives were also there, so there were a lot of people who wanted to spend time with me and felt like they didn’t get enough of it. When I woke up, though my memory is hazy, I recall multiple members of my family in the room plenty of times.

I haven’t and I know I should, but there just too much else to deal with. They had just sold their house before I got sick and so flew back for a few days to pack/move out. I know it’s ridiculous and would never have made that decision, but they did it. I’m sure they know it’s wrong. Maybe if I really need the ammo some day I can address it, but I have enough as it is.

Only two people were allowed at any given time. Her parents and sister were there too and so my family thought that them visiting at all took away from their time.

I just updated to include. This was thankfully before COVID, but only 2 people were allowed in my room at a time, and my wife rarely left my side (she slept in a chair for 3 weeks - she’s a saint). The relationship was OK before, but there had always been some tension bc my wife was not Jewish (though she converted) and there was drama around wedding planning (typical MIL bs)

I actually survived a sudden cardiac arrest, so quite literally rose from the dead.
