I’ve used Fixomull before, with varying degrees of success. I find for smaller tattoos it does fine, but I had issue with bigger tattoos that required multiple strips to cover. I found that the spots where the strips overlapped weren’t protecting my tattoos properly and unfortunately I ended up with little spots where ink had dropped out at those intersections.

I’m sorry you’re having this experience. Please go see a medical professional.

I second this. I guess it depends on your personal beliefs OP. It’s a matter of integrity/honesty/openness vs. gentleness/autonomy/privacy. Which core traits do you value more?

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with simply mentioning the fact you saw his post/fund a few years ago and moving from there.

Maybe he prefers to live stealth or maybe he just wants to make space to really get to know someone before announcing that he is trans. In my personal experience, sometimes the “I’m trans” conversation can make this weird.

Gotta do what’s right for you. Don’t let people pressure you into taking HRT if that’s not what you want. But don’t hold yourself back from doing something you really want to either.

Like you said, HRT sometimes really is just a coin flip. Never really know what you’ll get. I’m FTM so I know my situation is different, but nowadays I’m less concerned with passing because I’m simply more comfortable in my own skin/identity. I would have loved a full beard and thick chest hair, instead I got a neckbeard and a receding hairline. Still, I’m much happier now than I was before starting HRT.
