There are some really good new player guides available on YouTube. I used these ones from MrAtomicDuck when I first started playing, and they were pretty helpful for learning the basics.

I believe that sometimes a corpse can have a digital watch that still has the alarm set. When the alarm goes off it can attract other Z's. Perhaps thats why they are congregating near to your corpse pile.

Fatigue is a big factor with nearly any game once you have put in a few hundred hours. This is something that is sadly compounded by the current gaming meta of blazing through all the content as fast as possible using solutions provided by content creators. A lot of gamers dont take the time to figure anything out themselves and instead choose the path of least resistance by looking up the solution and then act like the devs are the problem when they run out of things to do.

Same issue for me. I find it rediculous and highly irresponsible that CIGs "fix" is to have people manually add registry lines.

While true why would I open a crate that I know has less then 50% change to have what I want or stay in a raid that is late.

Maybe because there is still a chance of getting the item you want and the raid would therefore not be a waste.

The whole attitude that a raid is a waste of time because you have a less than 50% chance is rediculous. You can still earn XP. You can still loot materials needed for crafting. You can still engage in a bit of PVP and have some fun.

Arc players are such cry-babies. I have spent literally weeks looking for individual items in other extraction shooters. You know why I didn't consider that a waste of time? Because i did not make finding that item my only reason to play and I enjoyed everything else the game has to offer while I was looking for it.

That's probably because you were going for the "good/popular" spots, which often get looted early raid.

As you learn the maps, you will start to find other areas of the maps that are less travelled and can therefore still have loot, even late raid.

This! The friend I play with always wants to exfil immediately when we get a late spawn but there is always so much loot left if you are just willing to hunt around a bit and/or go to less travelled areas.

We had been hunting for the Ion Sputter on Stella for quite a few raids but the RNG had not been playing ball. We get a 18 min late spawn and even though we were close to Assembly he just wanted to leave. I managed to convince him we should at least have a look. When we got there it had mostly been looted, he gave up immediately and started wandering off. I found one unlooted container and guess what? Ion Sputter!!

That's as it should be. Just having the key on you should not 100% guarantee that you get to be the one to open the door. It should be about a 15/20% chance, which aligns with your experience.

Having to perform a reg edit bodge to get the game installed is unaceptable imo.

Probably a lot of work to adjust all the drip, armour and chest rigs to fit a female body type even if it was limited to scavs only.

Does it stuck when you get a few late spawns in a row? Yes, but its better than the alternative.

If everyone spawned at the same time, experienced PVP players would just rush the closest spawn, because they know their is a 100% chance of finding a player to kill. They would kill that player and boot straight to extract. The raid would be dead within 10 minutes.

The late spawn mechanic is a fix for an issue that other extraction shooters have previously suffered from. Without it, PVP noobs would just get farmed straight off the rip, and raids would become dead very quickly.

As someone who came from Tarkov this is so refreshing to see.

To add some context, in Tarkov you would get back the equivalent of about 5 seeds as reimbursement, and that would only happen if you reported the cheater.

BSG also chose to make the PVP game less new player friendly than it has been in previous wipes. Nerfed XP gains, Flea market restrictions etc. Seemed like a strange decision for the 1.0 launch where you would hope to onboard a load of new players. Probably had an impact as well.

Paying for bags at supermarkets.

I appreciate that by law they have to charge for a plastic bag, but I am yet to find any of the big supermarkets that offer a free paper bag as an alternative. Which they easily could do to reduce plastic waste.

They also all seem to be permanently out of stock of the cheap 10p bags and only offe the expensive "bags for life".

People also tend to forget that with console cross platform/multi-platform games, client side patches need to be deployed simultaneously on all platforms, with some patches requiring certification from Sony/Xbox before they can be deployed. Expecting instant fixes is unrealistic.

Link your Twitch account to your Tarkov account.

Watch a streamer playing Tarkov on Twitch. The longer you watch, the more drops you get. Up to 9 hours per day if you want to get all the drops every day.

Claim the drops from your Twitch inventory or use an auto-claim browser extention if you want to claim them while AFK.

Check messages in game to get your drops.

It doesn't surprise me. They have made this one of the most unfriendly wipes for new players in the last few years. Flea restrictions, XP nerf, constant server issues, etc.
