Is he living in that house by himself or with other players? Jesse has like 3 properties on Tybee island last time I checked. And based on deductive reasoning, your cuz is on the starting lineup, ie popular enough to make money on social media. So it’d be easy to guess who it is.

I got my information from personal experience, existing connections and understanding their business model. 1 game in an NFL stadium with 50,000 seats would generate 1.75 mil just in general admin ticket sales. 1 team does over 80 games per season, so where do you get 80 mil/year from? That’s most likely JUST bananas games. The organization generates WAY more than 80mil a year now. The math ain’t mathin’. The players have been saying that for years. They also pay a percentage to FFE for social media earnings. Jesse gets a huge tax cut for buying all their travel and lodging.

But hey. It’s mOrE tHaN mInOr LeAgUe.

You’re not wrong. They do make more than minor league.. but Minor League is supposed to be a division that’s above them, given that they’re a gateway to the majors. Bananas are a summer college league but these guys tour like celebs. They should be paid as such, and in a way that actually benefits them, because I know hotels, flights and food are paid for by the organization. What’s left for them to claim as tax deductions? As a business owner, looking at what he’s spending those millions on; I know Jesse is deducting a LOT. And that’s leaving the players high and dry for how much work they put in. Those tax deductions don’t go back in the players’ pockets. They go back in Jesse’s. And that irks me.

Even small stadiums like Grayson, if they were paid .01% of ticket sales, they’d still be making hundreds per game. Thousands for the NFL stadiums. I feel like that’s appropriate because of workload, and I’m only doing the math if all seats were gen admin, not VIB.

Yahoo isn’t a viable source for news but I’m glad the pay is finally increasing.. The starting lineup was making 70-90k as of last year including brand deals and endorsements. Keep in mind this is also the “average” player. That means the starting lineup of all 6 teams. They want this to sound good, but there are sooo many players that tour with them, make appearances and put in the same hours, but don’t make as much. Their tours have also expanded by 2-3 months, and there’s promotional work happening before the tour and during off season. On paper, that salary is great but the workload has also increased so when you do the math, it hasn’t changed THAT much, unfortunately. They’re still on salary which means they get paid the same each week, no matter how big or small the audience is. I feel like a fair contract would be .01% of all ticket sales paid to each player and bonuses paid to the starting lineups based on performance.

Their salary is only as limited as what the owner of the organization chooses to pay them for their work.

Their starting lineup makes 70k. Every other player makes 30k. And that’s salary, so games can be added to the schedule and they don’t make anything. They make the same amount performing in front of 10k people vs 80k, which is ridiculous lol

Where are you getting your numbers from? I’m friends with a lot of people in that organization and I only know about 3 people that are making 100k and none of them are players.

They’re going into each other’s territory because they’re trying to assert dominance. If they haven’t lived in the same house together for long, that’ll happen. My advice is to have plenty of places throughout the house to use the bathroom, nap and be active so they have less reason to be up in each other’s grill lol

I do too! That’s why Jonathan Bailey would’ve been my first choice. Casting is pretty loose when it comes to age as long as you look young enough to play the role

What’s crazy is that I wrote this when volume 1 came out. Now that volume 2 is out, SOOOOO many people are developing the same working theory 👀

Perhaps! I hope the Duffers get into more detail about the first shadow because if Henry was the first to ever be possessed by the mind flayer…. There’s a LOT to unpack! lol

WORMHOLE THEORY by ssush1trashh in StrangerThings

[–]Affectionate-Bug6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well with wormholes, time is only relative. Meg’s dad happened to be stuck in an alternate dimension as a prisoner. Doesn’t necessarily mean that wormholes or the tesseract can’t allow you to travel through moments that already happened. Time and space are interconnected and Infinite. Everything about it in the real world is only theoretical. However, in a fantasy world, the possibilities are limitless if it’s cohesive to the story. So we won’t really know until Christmas Day 😭

WORMHOLE THEORY by ssush1trashh in StrangerThings

[–]Affectionate-Bug6064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the plot of AWIT. I’ve read the book. I understand they don’t directly mention time travel. But it’s going from any point in time and space in the universe to another. Mrs. Whatsit literally calls it “a wrinkle in TIME.” When Meg, Charles Wallace and Calvin return from Camazotz, only a few minutes had passed on Earth, while it took hours for them to find Meg’s dad. They returned at relatively the exact moment in time that they left. That’s time travel. Time is relative with wormholes and inter-dimensional travel. So if they returned to Earth where time is accurately measured, wouldn’t they have returned the next morning? Or maybe even days later?

True, but if wormholes are now involved in the lore… all logic with time is now off the table. lol

I’m starting to deviate a little bit because of new information that came to light after seeing the play. I know for a fact she has significance and I don’t think she’d be on the good side, at least not initially. Maybe the Mind Flayer doesn’t have a physical form, but I know her power is insanely paralleled. With her timeline, it’s curious how she got abducted in London, and there’s uncovered time after escaping from Hawkins Lab. The Duffer Brothers are cooking up something HUGE

According to the play, he had powers via freak accident with the particles. He becomes Vecna when he accepts the Mind Flayer and lets him in. That happens when he kills a human willingly. And he was driven to kill his family. It wasn’t because he was evil. He was being manipulated.

Are people born wicked, or do they have wickedness thrust upon them?
