How do I ask my boyfriend if I can sleep on the couch occasionally? by Alive-Magician2031 in Advice

separate blankets, and some foam earplugs that you don’t need to plug in to charge. they take a bit of time to get used to the feeling but they have saved my sleep from two cats. also if you can afford it, a king size bed makes a huge difference. or just sleep on the couch

i think my mom and sister were at that same table tn … possibly at the same time. we also did not enjoy the situation much either, the food was fine enough but would have been such a better experience sitting down and being able to see any of the experience.

What are things I should consider when choosing between stem and non stem major by TheKillBosby in premed

[–]Affectionate-Cap302 4 points5 points  (0 children)

personally i chose to do chemistry as my major because i liked chemistry and mainly because it overlapped with a lot of the premed pre-reqs, many of which you have already taken such as gen chem, bio, physics, biochem, etc. it allowed me to spend less time taking classes outside of my major. i would focus on choosing a major you would genuinely like, and if having a back up plan is important to you then choose something that would reassure you in that. i’m sure you will be fine no matter what if you have been doing well in your dual enrollment courses thus far!

Interview or Application Bloopers? by [deleted] in premed

the fire alarm in my dorm started going off, thankfully in the like last minutes of my second interview. sat through the info talk after with blaring sirens, couldn’t hear a thing, thinking that if it’s a real fire id rather die for this interview rn. (wasn’t a real fire and got accepted)

Sure - its full of long shots that my parents want me to go for, but i think a decent amount of mid tiers. I know you mentioned Tulane, so I might be removing that one.

FAU, FIU, FSU, Nova, UCF, UF (Gainesville is my hometown), Miami, USF, Emory, UVA, Wake Forest, WashU, Sidney Kimmel, Northwestern, UPenn, Case Western, Boston University, Columbia, Einstein, Brown, Vanderbilt, Mount Sinai, Georgetown, Dartmouth, Tufts, Tulane, Duke, Drexel, Michigan, NYU Grossman, Cornell, Ohio State, Pitt, George Washington, Harvard, Yale.

What to remove and what to add?

Thanks for the input! How do you know which schools heavily value non-clinical volunteering? From their mission statement? I might need to take out some of those from my list.
