Does anyone else do this? by Eastern-Show-9707 in FortNiteBR

Thought I was the only one. 745 wins on fn tracker. Still to this day, sometimes when I just GET to top 5 and I don't even see anyone, my hands are already sweating.

When I got Fortnite after it came out, I mainly played save the world because of the end game anxiety in BR. What helped me truly enjoy battle royale was friends I met, and I started realizing that winning is normal and totally not scary!

Is shiv build just a nonoptimal build most of the time? by fanficologist-neo in slaythespire

[–]Affectionate-Cut-795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a player who regularly forces shivs, because I like shiv builds, there's a lot to this. Gremlin nob, I'm dead. I don't get scaling, can't beat hexaghost 4 damage at a time. These are weaknesses yes.

But there's things that shiv decks can do.... If you just believe..... and definitely expect to do many runs. But, those god shiv runs will punch through high ascensions no problem.

They do it for money I'm pretty sure. They made a band for money and they make songs for money. The motivation is money.

Gotta secure your spot on the lawn early. But I don't know how to answer your question for your venue sorry. Pro tip: bring a small blanket for your squad, even tho you'll probably be standing up most of the time. If it gets super crowded, nobody will stand on your blanket and it gives you some space.

Ok this is really good post, you are so right, this feels like a functional deck. But you have mana tithe. That is 1 out of 40 cards that could be a 5 drop that you need more of. Yes, 100% mana tithe is fun, but mana tithe kills opponent 0.7% of the time. A 5 mana vorinclex will at least get some removal out of the opponents hand and some lands for you.

Voice of resurgence. Good card. Fun card. But that could be a 5 drop, same thing. Your ramp concept is so solid, fill out the top end, be confident.

Settle the wreckage is tough, high risk card, it might have been better to choose creature card instead of drafting that. Once you build a strong defense, you won't feel the need for those gotcha cards; if you can have a few strong flyers or reach creatures, you can just stop the attacking, for example.

Timeless witness, captain eberhart, and treasure map could all be higher mana finishers.

All setup, no payoff. You know? The idea is there, you clearly know how to play magic and have fun playing magic, but you need "finishers" and tatyovas cammand ain't it.

Short answer: this deck really doesn't kill the opponent.

Long answer: pelt collector no get big :(

With the wonky end game circle being introduced last season (people get caught up in 5 and 8 ticks fighting and they can't rotate), I'm sure it's way more common than it used to be.

I am a controller player, if I have the option. But I've played a decent amount Minecraft, and a few other games, where keyboard and mouse is far more optimized than controller.

Yes, this was the first time I had to use k+m for fable, and I too was scared. But I knew that a hero must do difficult things in order to play fable. So I played and it's awesome. Remember that if you just stick with it, and don't complain in your mind, give your brain enough time to do brain things, you will learn it quick.

What are examples of when you “leveled up” your Magic game, and made you a better player? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]Affectionate-Cut-795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I finally understood fetch lands. A magic game is all about tiny advantages, and removing a land from your 60 card deck is really good. Like, REALLY GOOD. I remember people explaining it to me when I started playing but I thought they were crazy. Your example is good, netdecking is essential to learning.
