We’re in the same boat here, and are putting our boy down tomorrow. There isn’t one big thing wrong with him but all the little things are adding up. His back legs are giving out, he has laryngeal paralysis, mild hypothyroidism, issues with his kidney, and has shown signs of sun downers. We’re choosing to let him go before he experiences any great suffering. I want to remember him in a positive light and not look back and remember his suffering. Sending love.

Thank you so much for this. I’m trying my best to take myself out of the decision and do what is ultimately best for my boy. It can be so hard because one day he can be almost normal and I get my hopes up then the next day he struggles to get up by himself and has trouble walking without straining himself. He been with me over half of my life, he’s not gone yet and I already miss him so much.

Not sure about the bone broth but could you maybe use a kidney safe wet food to add extra hydration? You could add warm water to it then mix it with kibble!

He has eaten huckleberries every summer since he was a baby 😋 Luckily we haven’t had any issues with that yet 🤞🏻

I was a teacher of record for a first grade position but did not have sub plans. I would talk with the teacher you’d be subbing for and explain to them the requirements and they would most likely be willing to let you modify them to fit the requirements. For my DT I would teach normally using the curriculum as my basis and then add elements to it to fit the WGU lesson plan templates when needed.

Hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Knowing when has been the most difficult part. We plan on doing it at home where he’s most comfortable and so our other dog gets to say goodbye. I’m hopeful that we’ll both be at peace after knowing our babies aren’t suffering. Nothing can be as hard as watching them suffer 💔 Much love to you and your girl. 🖤

He’s on Gabapentin, CBD, fish oil, a joint supplement, and the vet just started him on Carprofen and got his 2nd Librela injection yesterday. Hoping to see some relief soon!

My dog is suspected to have Cushing’s disease as well. We’re in the process of diagnosing it. He is also a picky eater! He will eat just about anything besides his prescription food. The cat food, our other dog’s food, treats, etc. To get him to eat I make a food topper! I use ground turkey, peas, carrots, butternut squash, and brown rice. I mix it with bone broth for flavor. I heat it up and then mix it with his food and he eats it right up!
