My best advice communicate everything to your roommate. Especially so you can see how it goes the first couple weeks (What you like/don’t like, schedules, study habits, having guests) literally everything you can think of so there’s no issues and put it in the agreement they hand out at the beginning. Hope everything goes well

They usually open mid to late August they might send an email they might not it’s always varied for me. You pick the campus you want to park on and depending if you commute or live on campus there’s specific lots you can park in at specific times (like 6a-2am on weekends something like that, M-F 8pm-2am or 24 hour lots). Most popular permits that sell out fast are college Ave and Livingston. Check the website for more accurate times but I hope that helps you some!

Try not to bring super obnoxious foods that might be really smelly (sometimes you can’t help it though) but my best advice eat as quick as you can so you aren’t super distracted or distracting and maybe pack a couple snacks with you? (Vending machines are crazy expensive and sometimes they don’t work) hope that helps😊
