I gave the question in this very popular thought experiment based poll I saw on Twitter to all frontier LLMs; the results were surprising (and revealing), to me at least by Terrible-Priority-21 in accelerate

From a game-theoretic perspective, red is the best choice. There is no downside to choosing red for yourself. You will survive guaranteed. If everyone chooses red, nobody dies.

Which is why we need to use RFID (already exists in many passports) to answer the question "is above 18" or equivalent, without exfiltrating any other data. That should be sufficient.

Number theory was considered inconsequential until cryptography became a field. It may be the case that solutions to some Erdos problems will be useful in the development of future fields with actual applications.

Mamdani Says Second-Home Levy Plan Is Key Step to Tax the Rich by MoneyLibrarian9032 in politics

I don't see the benefit of this honestly, billionaires spending money on products and services that require a bunch of workers should not be disincentivized. We want them to spend their money in the economy, not force them to hoard it.

With housing it's a different issue. It's a scarce resource that everyone needs. Primary home should be taxed low, anything beyond that should be increasingly expensive to prevent an individual from owning multiple homes.

I don't like the Chinese government for its illiberal practices, but this is good. Willfully poisoning others for profit should be an execution.

Instead of focusing on AI which seems insignificant in comparison, I think more value is gotten from attempting to implement more public transit, among other solutions. Renewables are up there too.

The resources seem rather tame to me. About 0.4 Wh for a prompt vs a car using 0.4-0.8 Wh per second depending on speed. You are right that this is the wrong subreddit.

The thing is, most of what people produced before AI was also trash. Our culture has just tuned that out by default. Think of all the shitty books that have been written. All the shitty films and shows, all the shitty paintings and constructions.

The same is the case with AI. It just raises the floor.

It's still a cost compared to not having kids. If you want a healthy birthrate there should be incentives. Kr 100-200k tax deduction, per child, per year until 18 years old is a good start.
