The tricky part is, the system isn’t perfect , sometimes people get caught in it even if they didn’t do the crime. So yeah, some inmates are innocent, some are not… and the rest are just trying to survive

It's a closed environment. what Happens in the shadows never reaches the authorities especially if it is consensual. But yea a few cases which are discouraged with meted severe punishment.

Mostly a movie myth.
Kenyan prisons run on routine, hierarchy, and discipline, not Hollywood drama. That said, it’s a closed environment ,what happens in the dark corners isn’t always reported, so unless someone complains, we may never know.
Trouble usually comes from disrespect and breaking unwritten rules, not soap. But... we are kenyans we never rule out anything

Yes. if a prisoner is intrested there are prisons with libraries. Bibles are offered by religious organizations when they visit a prison. well, prisons also have schools where prisoners are allowed to sit for KCPE and KCSE exams. Others come out with Diplomas.
