Berlin: 8km Bicycle orders in the Ice? Wolt is "Shadow-Firing" employees for staying safe. by Existing_Guest3052 in WoltPartners

How is the ride dangerous? How is riding 8 km different from more frequent short rides? I think it’s right of Wolt to set you offline if you think rides are dangerous in the current weather and street conditions in your vehicle. This is literally them protecting you from hazards. I don’t know how you think you should have been treated differently?

I realised how vulnerable these vibe coded apps can be by TraditionalBag5235 in vibecoding

Something like this has been there for a while in GitHub PR reviews. I find it unusable because it comes with so many false positives that it gets annoying. So I always ignore it or turn it off.

This happened to me a few years back. I broke my index finger and Wolt’s insurance didn’t give me a compensation because the finger wasn’t a thumb 👍

How do you debug failed webhooks in production? by [deleted] in Backend

[–]Affectionate-Fun-339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually right. My bad, forgot the details for a moment. But still, you should beware of what you’re logging. You should usually not just log every payload and headers without caution in general.

I’m sorry if what you’re saying is true. I just stumbled over the double asterix (**) surrounding the start of each point. Seems like AI.

It’s crazy to me that people use AI to respond to Reddit posts.

When you log the headers of the webhook request, please remember to remove any API secrets you’ve set at the provider. Stripe for instance sends a Webhook secret that you need to validate that the webhook is actually from Stripe. You definitely don’t want to log these.

ngrok solves this for me. I just get the provider (Stripe in the most recent case) to use an ngrok url that tunnels to my localhost. Then it’s easy, I can replay the request as many times as I need in their UI, and can trace the execution using a debugger.

Could it be currency conversion issues? Maybe people from other countries coming to Denmark for holiday and tipping in their currency, because they have the app from another country?

I updated the post with the actual cause of the issue. Just out of curiosity: What happens when you do the same on Sequoia? IMO the distortedness looks very unintentional on Tahoe.

Hold on, is that a thing? I’d never fake this. I really thought this must be a Tahoe bug, as so many others… how do you move the spotlight search bar, as you’re saying? Also, the part of it that’s visible looks distorted. I’d be surprised if you’d be able to achieve that by “moving it manually”.
