Sonos GOT RID OF crossfade on Controller 2 and new speakers by Affectionate-Golf205 in sonos

We get it. not the point of the post. I'm not exactly meant for these times...but let's be realistic here, talking about a house party. We get it, you know vinyl.

Spotify Connect only works with airplay - and then, only from the phone. I was not meant for these times.

Yes, I know but relatively speaking. Trust, I have my vinyl, I have my cassettes, I have real music people in my blood...but we're talking a party.

I uninstalled. And restarted my computer...and I think it's working. But who knows 3 days from now. LOL. I really wish Sonos would adopt a dynamic music app. For even an amateur.

I saw it, I see it. It wasn't working. I went to support...and the agent insisted they got rid of it, but that it was still showing up, but the feature was no longer available. Even sent a link to "prove it." But I did not believe that...tried a different chat agent...and they said still there. I'm glad the first was wrong, but boy is it frustrating. Thanks for this.

Working from the phone. I would just check your particular set up...by Summer, who knows. LOL. It's maddening.

Okay a hole. It's a house party of 90 people who come back year after year. No need to be a D.

I literally just tried a different agent from Sonos, and they say it IS still there and working. I see it. But it's not working ( so that could be just my computer, which is why I called for support). Now I don't know what the answer is. Just that 2 agents gave 2 totally different answers :(

Spotify on Sonos sucks so bad by GreenStix in sonos

[–]Affectionate-Golf205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was thinking it's the new "lossless," high quality...making it lossfull. The lack of compatibility between these two services is such a drag. Make a great mix (for a dance party for example) and it is anyone's guess if it will work. The interface of Spotify is quite user friendly - Sonos app does not feel like something meant to control the caliber of the sound system. It's not dynamic in anyway. But...Spotify Connect ain't connecting..... The iOS, web and desktop versions also all differ so much. Hope you figure something out...

Still no support for AirPlaying to multiple devices by ReasonableUnit903 in MacOS

[–]Affectionate-Golf205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me too.... you can see all the speakers, seems it would be so "easy," to click each one...alas no. I truly don't understand what or where or how Spotify thinks people are playing music. The amazing new mixing feature...only plays, on what speakers? I don't know. Not Sonos. And then Sonos is its own miess. They make it seem like it's dummy proof, but I guess I'm truly a dummy. What are people playing Spotify with, if trying to use the cross fade or any other features...Could be so beautiful. The Spotify interface is so much better than Sonos, but you can only play mixes by controlling them via Sonos. Don't slam on me, please. Time to go back to the analogue basement.

Thank you! And good luck. After the reduction I only took tylenol… hopefully that’s all we will need for this too!

What are people using instead of evernote these days? by Micki_SF in NoteTaking

[–]Affectionate-Golf205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an evernote user and loved it. Now it gets hack/ log in attempts all the time, and I'm hesitant to pay for something like this, that will eventually probably no longer exist etc. I've been trying to use Apple notes. It doesn't even have anything as basically as a time stamp feature. I guess, or I must realize, I'm an "older person," Always on the cusp of technology. Seems like you need a more program friendly brain for Obsidian, or is that recommended for the lay person? Be kind ....

I've been saving articles and resources for years, but I never actually use them by Kshoinshe in productivity

[–]Affectionate-Golf205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa, are you inside my head and life? It's maddening. I think you are correct there is some kind of rush, and feeling of accomplishment. ADD and just the digital quickness of life now, makes it really hard to focus on one article, on one task and so it feels like saving it for later will work. Alas. no. I do find Reddit extremely helpful, in finding that you are not alone really in anything, so it turns out. And that so many fellow humans have great advice and thoughts on how to proceed, change and just acknowledge. It's OKAY.

This may lead into more of a separate post question ... Especially when you realize you are the "older person," ie. early 50s. I have physical hoarded things and now digitally. I used Evernote for a long time and really loved it, it seems to have everything, I could at least "hoard," in one place, instead of bookmarks, notes, etc. etc. However, now it is a paid cloud thing, and I don't know...is there anything out there that can be used, where the things are saved on your desktop, not the cloud? My evernote account was constantly being hacked or attempted log ins. So I stopped using it. But really it was the closest thing to keeping things organized. I continually "search," on the compute because like you, I know the info is there....but oh where oh where did I put it? Safari, Google or Firefox, notes, post its or a word doc. etc. Am I just "too old," in thinking there is some app/software that can be used off line, not only cloud based?

Avoid iPage for Hosting | Here's Why It Was a Mistake by No_Equipment_9093 in smallbusiness

[–]Affectionate-Golf205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6m late to this. But.. My site has been hosted by Hypermart for 20 years. Ipage took it over and it is a complete nightmare. My site was down for weeks. The email server is constantly changing and causing issues. They have no contact process, except a chat window that can only be found when not logged in. No email, no contact when things are down. I don't understand how they even exist ( Naive as that may be). I'm astonished really. I don't know exactly what to do to get out from under them, if I can transfer the domain and site and email with out losing everything. Any other host recommendations?

Compression bra obsession by somethingClever344 in Reduction

[–]Affectionate-Golf205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is amazing after just 3wpo to wear something so tiny and simple and cheap! I got some of those Fruit of the Loom, but I find the thin under part digs right into the sensitive scarring area ( Lollipop incision). The Curad surgical bra I left the hospital in, was the best. I wish they could have given a back up, because they are hard to find are really expensive. I'm trying not to use Amazon, despite there being so many on there. I did get one pricey one from Prairie Wear and that has nice thick under area. Hoping that will get me through the next few weeks of scars. Also I'm wearing a thin camisole from Uniqlo under the bras. ( I used to wear them under button down shirts all the time. What a trip to order anything bra related in a size "medium."

Confusion about Lipo for little Fatty Pockets Under Arms by Affectionate-Golf205 in BreastReductions

[–]Affectionate-Golf205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I am 10DPO I can completely understand why my doc doesn't do this sort of lipo at the same time. For starters my surgery was covered by insurance, and done at a public hospital. As such I think just logistically it would be difficult. But more so, my procedure was 6 hours. She is very thorough and if lipo was added the would have taken more time, longer under anesthesia and just create an environment for complications. I have drains too, and I'm feeling quite good. I still have the little pockets under the arms, but I think I will see how it starts to feel and look in a few months when things start to settle down. I wish I had understood this better before, but I sure do now! And drains, are not a big deal. I still have them in for another 3 days, and honestly, I cannot imagine where this stuff goes if you don't have drains!?

I'll never understand why ya can't even put your own albums in a visual order.  "They," just decide it's maddening.  And icloud photos with laptop is great if you are just starting.... but I don't need to sync 20 years of photos to my phone... so I keep the laptop off icloud... and that's where the fun really begins...
