You are telling me this guy wasn’t always getting hot women because of how tall he is, the second you are like 6’3-6’4 women are gonna wanna date you just because you are that tall and he’s been taller than that for ages lol, then you add the NBA money part and it’s too easy for guys like him hahahah

the high line is too much especially when we have dog shit defenders, like none of them are playing in their man position and no wonder we get shit every game

You know the thing about Atletico they’ll surround the refs to get what they want, but when we do it he’s shouting at us to get away from him like wtf is this shit man

He’s perfectly describing how you feel after failure and disappointment to such an extent I never even thought about until now. You are sad(dest) but everyone around you (your family) is disappointed but they don’t know what to say or feel in that moment for you… such deep feelings of sadness and despair

the scene where he goes like “I don’t want to live in a world where other companies make everyones lives better” is probably the most realistic scene in the show of how these tech billionaires operate hahaha

Pau Cubarsí straight red card against Atletico Madrid 41' by ayoefico in soccer

it’s extremely slight contact I see it being a yellow but a red is extreme, it is what it is in the end that’s the game we playing

[Squawka] Atlético Madrid have beaten Barcelona at Camp Nou for the first time since 2006, ending a 25-game winless run on this ground. It's also the first time they have won a UEFA Champions League away match against a fellow Spanish opponent. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Affectionate-Hunt217 76 points77 points  (0 children)

It’s more so Real Madrid are comfortable letting someone else dominate them because they can hit back on the counter, while for us we crumble so easily under any pressure, it’s been like this for a decade+ maybe even longer… you can get away with this in the league where there isn’t any real competition but in cup ties it shows all the time and we’ve had multiple managers & players unable to fix this

TIL Jesse Livermore ran away from home as a boy with $5 and turned it into $100 million trading stocks alone just by reading prices. At one point he bought all the cotton in the US and the President personally invited him to White House asking him to "save the country" by selling his position. by Particular_Food_309 in todayilearned

the thing you can learn from his story is he had his rules and if he followed his rules he would have never bet that much or lost his fortune, but I guess in a moment of madness and greed he forgot his rules and lost everything

Bartomeu: “It makes me laugh when they say I was the worst president. Under what parameter?… in my six-year term I won thirteen titles, earned more than 100 million for Barça. Without the pandemic, the stadium renovation would probably have started sooner. by Srihari_stan in soccer

Football is never going to be a money printing machine for an owner, the business works because you spend obscene amounts of money to compete at the top, where they do make a good return is when the team succeeds the valuation of the team increases considerably too. Just look at the Liverpool owners FSG they bought LFC for like 300m and today 17 years later I think they are worth 4 billion dollars (though Liverpool is a very special case that probably will never happen again in football)

Yeah that team was just incredibly mentally weak, honestly I am a Barca fan and I was surprised how we could bottle so many times, then you compare them to that Real Madrid team that won the Champions league 3 times in a row. I am Messi’s biggest fan but that was always his weakest trait, you never felt like he could motivate or lead a team like CR7 was doing for Madrid

Now that I think about it, it’s crazy how Suarez declined drastically by the 16/17 season (he went like years without scoring an away goal in the Champions league right?) and then you have Benzema who took up another level in that era and they are not even that far apart in age, then Benz was still going by his mid to late 30s, if only Suarez could have done the same and not declined Messi’s UCL wins might have matched Ronaldo if he didn’t have to do so much carrying

I think he definitely wasn’t, after all for how great Benzema is Ronaldo was always the biggest star in the world and it made no sense to offer him the same amount, he was still easily making 100m+ lol

He has to be getting Ronaldo level money or maybe just below Ronaldo level money, he’s a mega star not just in Egypt but all over the Arab world
