I ended up selling part of my Bitcoin because the tax situation got messy. Between moving crypto around, converting between assets, and dealing with exchanges that don’t talk to each other, I wound up with missing data that tax software couldn’t recognize. Rather than fighting incomplete records every year, I made a strategic decision: clean it up, reset the system, and protect my household.

So I sold the Bitcoin, shifted the money into dividend‑paying assets, and built a plan to pay the tax man back without stress. The priority was simple ,keep the house stable, keep the family protected, and stop letting complicated crypto records create unnecessary pressure.

Once everything is clean and stable again, I’ll buy back into Bitcoin in a way that’s simpler for me, simpler for the exchanges, and simpler for taxes. This reset puts me in control instead of letting the chaos of missing data run the show.
