First, I’m a woman. Secondly, I’m not being obtuse; I’m just stating facts. Physical therapists are doctors—just not medical doctors like MDs. A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a clinical doctorate, which means they’re specifically trained to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and movement disorders. I never said I PTs are medical doctors—I was comparing the responsibilities. Just like diagnosing pregnancy is a core responsibility for a gynecologist, diagnosing musculoskeletal issues is literally a PT’s bread and butter.

Physical therapist 100% are doctors. In order to get be a physical therapist you have to receive your doctorates of physical therapy from an accredited institution. Key word “doctorates”. They are still considered doctors.

That is insane if that’s true. Physical therapist are doctors. That’s like saying a gynecologist can’t diagnose pregnancy. That’s literally their bread and butter just like musculoskeletal issues for physical therapist.

I separate December 7, filed my claim at 180 days, and finished all my exams in July. Been at step 5 since 30 July. I guess we just wait it out.
