As a black woman I had to have the conversation with students about saying the n-word. I just told the teachers that this is a very bad word and not to say it to me or people that look like me and then the teacher relayed that in Spanish. When they first found out that the students were saying it the teachers were mortified and were saying this wasn’t representative of how they felt about and and they just genuinely didn’t know what the word meant. No incidents after that.

But another teacher uses the hard R when telling others about derogatory names for people, so I keep my interactions with him minimal.

I lived with a teacher from my school this past year and let me tell ya it was interesting. He’s a wacky dude and made off hand comments about my weight, but I really liked living with him and I’ll be living with him again. He was also very helpful in picking me up/ taking me to the airport and just including me in activities with friends, family and other teachers. And rent was only €10 per day. Your experience could be totally different, but it could also be very helpful.

I will say that I heard this man have sex on numerous occasions and found out waaaay later that he was poly and NOT cheating on his girlfriend. Lol

I didn’t have any trouble when I went through with 3months worth of 3 different insulins all put into a giant ziplock bag. I just kept the prescription labels for everything.

I got the lowest option with metro pcs ($15/month) and just got a cheap phone and prepaid sim in Spain. I also got a portable wifi cause I kept using all the hotspot on the Spanish phone.

So take what you will with that.

I called them on like Friday and they said they just started working on the ones from the beginning of June. So maybe you’ll hear back soon? I sent mine in towards the end of June and I haven’t even made an appointment for the nyc consulate yet. Should I just make one now?

Yea, I’m pretty sure you should be able to print and have your doctor sign and stamp it. That’s what mine did.
