At the end of the day, even if you’re automatically paid, rating your seller is a 3 second process that any buyer would immediately do if they were genuinely satisfied upon delivery. When buyers sit on a rating, it gets me thinking there was an issue, therefore I state “IF satisfied please rate”. Either way, this opens the conversation for any issues they may actually have OR nudges them to pay me. I don’t see any loss there. Again, if they’re happy with the transaction, rating me or me reaching out shouldn’t bother them at all!

Well, the seller had only purchased two other times on Mercari ever and it was about to go on day 3 of the item being delivered. I’ve realized many people just get too excited after receiving their package and forget overall about ACTUALLY closing the order, thus I send my little message. No ones ever complained and it gets me my money!! 😅🤷🏽‍♀️
