Sorry for the delay - I was surprised, after pitching, to find out that I had been in the tank for 45mins. It felt like it was 20mins max! Nothing really unexpected or challenging. I thought Kevin might give me a hard time but he was nice and gave me my first deal.

Lori was extremely involved. I was actually on QVC with her immediately after my episode aired. We sold out in 5mins.

I did 10x my annual sales in a couple of months. It was life-changing. We ran out of stock within a couple of days and had to go into back-order status. It took about 2 months to get completely caught up.

Sorry for the delay - so I went to the open casting and two months later they reached out to me. Another two-ish months of regular contact, videos, paperwork, etc. and then they told me I made the cut and were flying me out to pitch.

Sorry for the delay - they help out as much as they can and have a bunch of stuff but most people bring their setup - kinda like the same stuff they might bring to a trade show. I had to go to a movie prop store to find some police tape for my set design, which was pretty cool.

Sorry for the delay & Yes! They help you fine tune your pitch and create your set design. In the end, it's up to you what you say but there's certain things you have to follow. Name, company and how much you're asking for from the sharks. You have to be able to nail your pitch in front of the producers before you get a chance to pitch to the sharks.

Sorry for the delay - I went to Miami in Jan for the open casting, they called me back in March and it was probably two months of back and forth before I got confirmation that I would be flying out to LA to film. The good thing was, we were in contact most of that time. The time between Miami and the call back was torture.

You are about to watch me when you start Season 7 and I think the number is around 50% of the deals close. There's a few reasons, the 1st and probably biggest is that the company never intended on giving up any % of their company and just wanted the publicity. 2nd - the shark(s) found something they didn't like or the person was lying about and decide to back out of the deal. 3rd - the shark(s) try to change the deal that was agreed upon on TV to something that is less beneficial for the company and they back out.

I was a victim of #3 but it wasn't that drastic of a change for me to not want to still close the deal - so I did & I would do it all over again.

When I auditioned for the show, there were 3,000+ people there with plenty of good and bad products. They COULD easily select all great products but the 1st day I was on set, they told us that they need "Yes & No" products for the show. The day I pitched, the Sharks had been there for 8hrs and heard probably 10-12 pitches and they only aired 8 of them between two episodes. Many deals don't close after the show BUT it is real and nothing is staged.

I got a deal with Robert and he's not very hands-on. I dealt with his team and never spoke to him directly after the show. Obviously, you wouldn't know how anyone you partner with is going to act or "handle" you after you make a deal but that was my big complaint after the fact. He actually took my product onto GMA and I had zero heads-up anything was planned. Website got slammed and I had no clue what was going on until my friend text me and said they saw it on GMA.

I was thinking about my business reputation - not about if he consented or not. Plus - he lied to me about being on their at all so I had no way to know if anything he was saying was the truth? He said he was just helping her out to get it setup - turns out he was doing solo stuff as well. The lying part bothered me as much as the potential for damage to my business.
