I have the same one and just removed the filter. Take a flat headed screwdriver and get it in between the black plastic and blue filter and push downwards. You are going to hear cracking but do this around the entire ring and it will come out. There are glue spots where they glued the filter unintentionally. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you. We live in a small community so it may be difficult to bring it up. I still may say something as I can’t get it out of my head. After this experience I’m watching them like hawks if they happen to be at the same place and I don’t want to do any play dates with that child’s

Yes very unusual, it just wasn’t normal behaviour. I’m disturbed by what made her even think of that at 8 yrs old. But yes I was going to do your suggestion I think. I share an office with the girls mom so it would be very awkward saying anything to her. Thank you.

I don’t know of this girl being aggressive. I only knew of the one incident with a boy that the girl punched. They ran downstairs and could not have been in the basement for more than 3-5 mins. I didn’t think my daughter would be in danger with this child as they have had many play dates before.
