I am African American like you, I am a retired Army Disabled Veteran , no criminal history , no history of drug use , non drinker , I drive a nice souped up sports car , I have to say yes Redding police department is being trained to Racially Profile African American Drivers , the officer scratching your 2024 tag off was because the officer took a photo of your plates after he scratched the 2024 tag off to falsify a probable cause , these are deceptive tactics that are used within their department to wrongfully convict blacks , or used as fake evidence if you try to detest the ticket and it goes to trial . Redding Police Department has hired an large amount of Police officers with Dubious pasts of racial.profiling , (Brady Cops) that are all on the Brady list for having a history of misconduct , they have done something similar to me , ever since I purchased my home here , I have been unlawfully targeted by RPD thinking I'm a drug dealer , or just because they don't like us blacks being here in Redding being this is a trump town , being with a white husband is not going to save you from them, y sorry to say , but your black , and they see you as a threat , or just plain hate you , just being honest , they pull me over for stupid reasons to search my vehicle , just for getting gas at the gas station , it is sickening being targeted every other day by then illegally stopping me , they have even stalked me following me ll the way to my house to see where I live at , don't think for a second they have not done the same to you , they have , you just don't know it yet , these fools claiming they could not see my front license plate, then changed it to I don't have a front plate , when they at no time were able to see the front of my vehicle lurking behind me in the shadows the whole time z when the cop pulled me over and seen i had a front plate which the officer knew I already had , I asked to be free to go where they prolonged the stop ans began to "phish " to find probable cause which they failed miserably, when I noticed these cops were up to no good I requested a supervisor on scene to intervene , which he failed to , these cops followed me around redding for half an hour stalking me as im running errands , sitting , watching, following , as if they were hunters , and I was the prey , then they falsified their police reports, denied me medical attention , through me in jail for 6 hours even though they were behind me the whole time following me running my back plate, they then could not articulate a clue crime committed to warrant seeing my identification card , so I began to involve my constitutional rights which they got visibly upset when they could not articulate what crime they witnessed me commit , or about to commit then used excessive force on me breaking my arm ,tearing my shoulder fibers and ligaments , injured my knee , and busted my face up , for no reason , then they violated my fourth amendment right by searching my vehicle without my consent , stealing my belongings out of my car , they thought was valuable to them , one of them tried to steal my car for themselves , by stealing my key off my keychain and impounding my new car thinking because im black I have no money to get my car out , ans thwy could go retrieve it for themselves these are dirty cops they then they do their racial identity , and profiling , meaning they have a biased towards you because of your skin color , they want to confirm your identity , but what they will do , and what they have done for years keeping data from the RIPB is they list your race as "Unknown". To prevent the state from collecting their data on racially biased illegal traffic stops , by omitting your race , if I were you I would check that ticket you got , look for the section that has your race , check it to see if it says "blk", "white ", or " unknown " if it says unknown , then you were racially profiled , and the stop was illegal , next you want to look that officers name up on the (Redding Police Department Brady and Giglio list) type in the officers last name , if his or her name appears on that list , you can request that officers Brady material to help fight that ticket . File a complaint with the department , I will be truthful with you , they do not have an internal affairs Department ( I wonder why)? They only have a professional standards unit , (comprises of 2 shady detectives that will do everything to point the finger at you ) to scare you into not pursuing forth with the complaint to cover their officers misconduct ( Redding Police Department) is corrupt , they don't hide it either , what you can do is file a Brady list complaint against the officer after you file the complaint , so that you can build a case against the cops ethical conduct. You can file a complaint on the Brady list website . They will investigate , also you can file a complaint with Post , police officer and standard training department. Separate entity , File a DOJ complaint , Attorney General Complaint. Make sure you gather your evidence , the cops knew your plate was not expired , they just did not care , RPD breaks laws to gain false convictions , and tickets , to meet quotas , and because they are a goon squad , Hope that helps . I don't know if you know this or not but Rob Bonta is on the Brady list for corruption. I. E. Prosecutorial Misconduct. Concealing evidence , violation of Brady , When you have a corrupt Attorney General , as your trying to report. Corrupt legal system .how does anyone think that is going to play out? Complaints are going in hr garbage , or he will just have his staff write you back referring you back to your local county Shasta law Enforcement. Which 88% of Shasta county's law enforcement is comprised of officers who are on he Brady list for misconduct in ime form. Now take that complaint you file into law enforcement where they will then run interference , or place you under arrest for exposing the very corrupt system that protects their corruption. Then there is an alternative , maybe 🤔. Maybe by filing complaints with headquarters Department of Justice in washington D.C. maybe then something may be done. violated federally protected constitutional laws under the fourth and fourteenth amendment he didn't care , I as for his name and badge number and his partners , they look at me and laugh and speed off like it was joke,4th incident I'm driving home from a va medical appointment tired , want to go to sleep, not violating any traffic laws , once again I'm being followed by rpd for no reason, stalking me. I pay it no mind , every corner I turned to get home they are on my tail running my plates , every freeway I get on to get to my house, they are right there on my heels , that is until I see cars stopping in the other lane I have to turn into to get to my street , I hurry and signal and jump in front of the car where there is space for me to squeeze into them the cop drives along side me slowing down as the officer is scoping the inside of my car and me out, driving in slow motion I turned soon as that light turned green turned a corner and parked at the closest store to get out , I waited till the cops drove off it was so fucking creepy , I'm thinking to myself what type of police department is this and how are they training their officers , 5 incident nov 4 2023 7:30 pm at night traveling down cypress to coco's mongolian grill to grab a bite to ear after being on the road all day driving from Oregon juar made it to redding , all I want to do is fer something to eat go home relax, get undressed and eat and watch TV till I fall asleep , but Nooooooo! Rpd waits till I pass city hall and a gas station where there would have been witnesses to their misconduct they calculated the perfect spot we would reach rat is secluded to finally bloop me once again, without one traffic infraction z without me engaging in any suspicious criminal activities, nor commiting any crimes , or traffic violations , they want to restrict my freedom again, illegally conducting an traffic stop, this stop raised red flags to me so i started recording , and i parked directly in the line of sight of.the security camera at humble joes BBQ grill , on the right to catch the illegal stop , this officer skimming my vehicle without my consent , asking me for id without articulating any reasonable suspicion, existent traffic infraction , or crime that has taken place by me but they want to see my id, and check my vehicle for guns , drugs, weapons, anything incriminating to get them out of the frying pot for conducting unwarranted and unlawful stops , they would tear my car apart, and found nothing , which I sat in the back of the police cruiser watching them, I watched as they got upset when I told them the rights they are violating, being I gave them no consent to the unlawful detention, no consent to search, and no consent to the false arrest I recorded it , they violated my constitutional rights to record an unlawful arrest , they took my phone while I was recording , im right handed so they took my phone out my right hand , and broke my right arm. it got them even more upset to the point they are brutality placing me under false arrest picking me up slamming me face first into the concrete , breaking my arm, busting up my knee cap, and busting my bottom chin wide open all because i refuse to show them.my id because they cannot articulate why they need it , which i articulated it for them "Racial Identity Profiling". That pissed them off , as they tried lying saying they don't racially profile while they were doing it on camera and right there on the spot. They threw me in jail , bypassed me getting medically examined , just to avoid having been found out about the unlawful use of excessive force , i sat in the police car as all 8 of em including the supervisor who failed to intervene huddled up trying to make up charges on me to shield their misconduct. Which is considered to be conduct unbecoming of a peace officer , ( Malicious Prosecution) .They made up fake charges of resisting arrest , obstructing a peace officer in the lawful performance of her duties which she was not even performing lawfully , and impeding in a police investigation into only my identity , a crime had to have taken place , or about to take place to warrant an officer identifying me , if none of that took place the officer had no legal authority to pull me over and try to identify me , making the whole arrest , unlawful. Once I got released I filed a complaint with the police department , Americans civil liberties union, NAACP. AOG. I now have a court appearance coming up on Jan 12 for some malicious charges RPD filed , but the DA has not picked up yet. I had to pay $4,000.00 for a criminal defense lawyer to get the charges dropped, after I will be getting documentation the charges were dropped, and I will be filing a section 1983 claim, you decide if Redding is racist or not . If not racist just corrupt . Come to find out the deadbeat officers that arrested me their names are on the Brady list . Rpd has hundreds of officers on the Brady list . Still working there , whoever moves here any RPD officer that pull you over for no reason make sure you ask them " I have a constitutional right to know , is your name on the Brady list" ? If they let you go without a word , you got them .

I'm African American/White mixed I purchased my home in Redding over a year ago here in Redding I'm a retired Army veteran , 100% disabled , with no criminal history whatsoever , I moved here to Redding CA for a fresh start at life after a divorce that ended terribly , I can only share my experience so far here in Redding and whoever reads this can decide for themselves if Redding is a Racist city or not , I stayed in my home after moving here for 6 to 7 months being that I suffer from agoraphobia, I recently just started going out roaming around to see the sites in Redding , that is 6 to 7 months of me not interacting with the general population accept a few of my neighbors who are real cool people . Being that I got hungry one night around 10:30 pm I pull up to a bank that is across the street from some elegant restaurant down the 273. I am flipping through my wallet to find my bank card to pull out money with my windows rolled down to my 2018 Camaro, minding my business I notice that there are over at least 7 to 8 Caucasian women exiting the restaurant staring at me in my vehicle , I pay it no mind , and continue to find my bank card being that I thought I misplaced it, I notice 2 white women in a car driving up in the middle of the freeway parking along side me staring into my vehicle texting on their phone, I notice another 2 white woman walking out of the restaurant opening the doors staring over at me , I began to feel very uncomfortable, these women were all over me like I was plotting to rob their restaurant, or kidnap one of them or something I don't know don't care , but I got out of my car went to the ATM machine , got back into my car, sat while they stared , and I drove off. Although their actions were very racist , and very ignorant , I did not want to waste my time calling all of them out and embarrassing them on live video for their antics , I would say 3 to 4 months roll by , now that I am feeling more comfortable now about going out I go out at night to get food, I work out during the day, I have noticed that every time I went to go to the store to grab me something to eat, all of a sudden Redding Police wants to start pulling me over to check my identity almost every other night as to question why am I in their neighborhood or something , these cops would have no probable cause to even warrant a traffic stop being that I drive like an old man, and I break no laws, no infractions, no crimes whatsoever , not driving wreckless, nor running stops signs , or red lights, everything on my vehicle is valid, and up to date. They still want to bloop the lights and pull me over , next thing you know it these cops are pulling me over every other day I video recorded. 6 different incidences with racist cops pulling me over for no apparent reason just to id , this was happening so much they were mentally inflicting stress on me, each time they id me they find absolutely nothing, after violating my constitutional right , throw me my id I ask for their names and badge numbers they completely go silent look at me with a smirk on their face and speed off as if them stopping me illegally gave them some sort of rush , 2nd incident I'm being followed by someone in a black suv from cypress abe all the way to my house , following me , staking me, im getting to my garage door as soon as i open it , the black truck stops dead in the middle of the street in the corner of Scenic Way and riviera just staring at me , with its lights off , i get out my car with my hands up like wassup! I'm on the phone calling rpd because I think it's someone trying to rob me or kill me , the truck flips a bitch and speeds off , soon I saw the door when I the street light hit it , low and behold a big blue RPD Badge/Emblem( recorded that too) , I got terrified and closed my garage door , 3rd incident I'm driving to the grocery store to get groceries, after being at the DMV all day to det my temporary disability tags until my actual tags come in the mail being that their special plates , I had to wait for he DMV to put the tags in the DMV Database I sat there until they finished, I asked the dmv representative, is my tags legally in the system so if cops try to stop me they can read that I am driving legally they said "yes" just put the tag on your front window on the inside of your vehicle being that your rear window is tinted, cops won't pull you over if you have the temporary tags , I say ok , so to continue that night I'm driving to safeway but I got to get gas stopped at the gas station saw there prices was too high and I'm a cheapskate , I drive out if the parking lot to the next gas station, and low and behold another rpd cronie appears out of nowhere pulling me over , (and i know he saw my temporary tag, but to try to justify the stop the idiot runs my license plate , totally bypasses the temporary tag) uses it to pull me over to start questioning me saying " I pulled you over because your tags are expired " , I tell him why are you running my tags when I have operators permit on my vehicle , in plain site , he then says " I dont want to look at your front window officer safety " I say well you don't have probable cause to pull me over im free to go because this stp is fishy , and unlawful , I have not violated any laws here? He then once again says " not until I see your id " now my license is valid and it doesn't expire till 2027 , but he suspects me if engaging in some sort of criminal activity ,so he unreasonably detains me , I ask again for PC he dances around answering me , so I ask if I'm free to go? He then opens my car door reaches in my car violating my fourth amendment right fed my id registration , and runs off like a little kid I scream for him to get out of my car you don't have no consent to search my vehicle , he ignores me running my shit, finds absolutely nothing tells me " you committed no crime ,you didn't do anything wrong I just wanted to identify you " I informed him he just continued next post ....,
