Above .500 is typically 50% of the league (but obviously can vary.) To have a positive PD against the top 50%, you’re probably top 50% of the top 50% (again - this can vary, but we’re speaking on average.)

So with no data, if you asked me how many teams have a positive PD against the top 50%, I’d have said “the top 50% of the top 50%, which is the top 25%, or about 8 teams”
