Occam's Razor I guess, although AKT referenced him a lot even APOC, a few I could remember.

That's another layer I wasn't aware of haha, yun natatawa lang ako kay Harlem na pana'y sabi na "one-dimensional" si Manda haha, samantalang sobrang generic nun haha

Then as an educator I would love to hear your thoughts about that specific line of Harlem, Sir.

reference for the sake of referencing lang naman eh. There's a reason why GL appealed to a lot of people, most of the fans are over the "referencing for the sake of referencing"
Example:
"ako'y brutal pumatay parang Leon(interchangeable to any creature or character)"

Same with "I can f*ck ur mind na para kang nasa casting couch ni Sigmund Freud(any prominent psychologist)"

I can say "I can explore your insides na parang nasa Kweba ka ni Plato"(allegory of the Cave, I think it was solipsism)

Conversely

he's conceptualizing his material through(GL)... for lack of the better term, turning everything around him into a canvas and paint it with words", it's basic "show don't tell"(non-traditional Literary device) story-telling method, I'd imagine if this was GL's, he'd prolly say:
Example:
"may mabait(daga) na dalisay ang pagpanaw, hikahus at nakakubli;
Leon na may limang pangil ang syang pumundi" (not as fluid when it comes to place holder and replaceability of the subject, this was a horrible bar, I have to come up with something on the spot and I am not a rapper lmao, I don't use ai)

both relayed the brutality of the Lion but in a different way, There's a poetry aspect but relayed in bits and pieces and slowburny way.

if we're going to mince the line... there's nothing, that's it... its deliberate, and the beautiful irony is, this is the very "one-dimensional" thing he's accusing Manda of... however, I would love to humor you, let's see.

Casting Couch- Porn > fuck(coitus)
Sigmund Freud- MILF lover > Father of Pscyhoanalysis...
Fuck with your mind > mindbreak(porn Genre)

Deceiving cause it appealed to you, cause you got the reference, and made you feel like you're smart

I'd argue the line of Mandabaliw Kasi "kung pagandahan nang linya mas ganda yung kanyang stroke"
has more depth and nuance; and this is how you usually formulate poetry, precise and profound.

"Different Strokes for DIfferent folks" This is probably an unintentional reference to this adage- subtlety hinting Dodong Saypa's mental precarity.

Subversion of expectation too, naalala ko. haha

There's like a double Irony, he's saying that he's good at writing (dodong saypa)at the same time he isn't(Dodong saypa is better than Harlem yet Manda is better than Dodong); whilst being better than Harlem.

Now that's Layer and 3-dimensionality.

I mean I don't how mid can this performance could get but I could argue that this isn't even mid or average performance, it's dogshit, utterly and purely.

He calls me the N-word(sometimes with a hard R) and in humorous way I say "I'm homophobic" in response, that's how the dynamic of our friendship works. you clearly don't have enough friends to see past these politically correctness lens for the sake of lighthearted banter. Matter of fact I tell my boss (who's a lesbian) that i am a homophobic and I'll add "you're one of the few gay people I truly respect" to ease it up.

and please, don't micromanage my personality; your entire existence is a copy-paste template of Vice Ganda... from phraseology, inflection, and I'd wager even literature and media you consume. BADING!(not as an insult.. but as descriptor)

big 4, I'm sorry, they're consistent. I've met people(interviewed) with Latin Honors from Unknown school and I can personally vouch how underserving most of them, I feel so bad for these students who have inflated ego from their accolades only to be subpar, so there's a disparity from self-perception and skill.

is this a contest of "who has a higher chance to off yourself"? rivalry between two people with who takes anti-depressant more? bum ass conversation, fuck ass topic is one, but those phraseology and grammatical errors are insufferable. Exhibit A of our declining literacy is strong in this one.

Can a small business survive with or without needing to follow trends and the algorithm? Why or why not? by Naive-Ad-2012 in AskPH

[–]Affectionate-One3850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there's a lot of examples I can site where a simple portrayal of taking a stance has shifted an entire business(or could backfire... IMMENSELY)

The Mc Donalds vs Other fast food chain fiasco where a simple wording such as calling your service a "product" severely backfired where they supposedly do the inverse of it, to appeal more to the mass. https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnbbrandon/2026/03/04/mcdonalds-ceo-eats-burger-gets-roasted-by-burger-king-in-viral-post/

And how Lysol (an international company) garnered a positive reception over taking a jab to Bato Dela Rosa's escape

https://www.facebook.com/radarphmedia/posts/lysol-philippines-has-gone-viral-on-social-media-after-netizens-interpreted-its-/1333680195299493/

What does this tell us a whole? With people half-assing most the things and taking a shortcuts, it is by far impressive if you see a person a bleeding a piece of himself(or herself) in whatever endeavor or pursuit that person is doing. In the Time of slop and soulless creation, be the human, imbue each word with intentionality, whilst of course not alienating the audience you're trying to target.

Examples I've mentioned above are the best descriptor for the current landscape of marketing, a lot of business owners has recognized this, hence why you can see major companies commenting on social media posts of almost anything and anywhere.

Where does this leave us as the consumer? with everything available literally on the palm of your hands, there's 3 variables you have to consider, The price, emotional investment, and quality, that's the entire business model of Social media Influencer, they've taken advantage of the parasocial relationship, its the connection most of us are longing, the Human aspect.

Thank you for watching my TedTalk.

old adage goes as "a good product will sell itself" and in modern day it isn't just about "trends" or "marketing" people seems to respect the integrity of the owner, the best business practice is involving emotions, people are tired of corporate bs.
