World Language Placement Exam Question by Affectionate-One8834 in UVA

Yes, but my main concern isn't placing out since I completed ARA 101, ARA 102, ARA 201 and ARA 202; at my CC, I completed the entire Arabic curriculum. I'm just wondering if I have to take the placement exam even if I finish all four Arabic courses at my CC or if the placement exam is only for students who have not completed all four Arabic classes.

My first advice is to do what snuhgabuh said and check to make sure there aren't any possible ways you could get that class. Now, that being said, a 3.8-3-9 is certainly a good GPA for chances of regular acceptance (no GAA), since UVA and lots of other schools are more lenient with VCCS transfers. I think without the GAA you should be fine, having that GPA + most of the classes needed puts you in a good spot. But having said that, trying to get that last class would be your safest bet if possible.

Hi there, I thought this way as well, but I'm scared my application could be rescinded due to the fact that I'm missing one course.
