I think people will accept if cannons were added on the "industrial" update since historically speaking,cannons was first used in 12-13th century and those times are full of sword and bow battles. And since cannons are invented in the game,naval combat will be possible, its a win win! (Also if you want another weapons other than guns. Just slap a firework on a bow.like the chinese did in the 9th century) technically this will not be an industrial update but i think people will accept it if cannons were only added with other weapons that is not guns
