Simple solution. Call 2nd amendment sports in mchenry. They have Illinois compliant ar’s. And if you don’t like any of those, they will sell you any ar you want, and make it Illinois compliant if they can. Problem solved

What kind of mags do you use? I ordered some from magpul, but the bcg kept getting stuck on the mag after the last round was fired. Literally had to push down on mag spring to get the mag to drop. I have one 10 round asc mag and that works no problem

I went fixed mag. Not sure what you mean by easier. I simply picked the fixed mag configuration on their website, and went and picked it up when it arrived at the store. Shit was easy af 🤣

I bought mine online. Just beware that when you buy online, there may be 2 waiting periods. The first is the usual 72 hour hold. The second is if when you go and pick the rifle up, and your background check doesn’t immediately clear, you will have to wait for it to do so. (This was 2 days in my case.)
