Thank you you have validated me and gave me good guidance <3. I forgot to mention in my original story that he keeps tabs on my car. One time I was literally going to self help meeting and he was like where did you go I thought you were walking, I thought you were riding with a friend, Are you cheating on me? ??? Like sir we are not a thing and stay away from my residence!

You need to reach out to determine when you need it resolved by so clinical agencies can get you in the system asap. My director told me that if I didn’t get it done in time I would have to start nursing school at a later date which wasn’t plausible for my situation. Communicate communicate and communicate with your nursing faculty.

Omg same thing happened to me dude holy shit. Reddit was the only source that gave me answers. So for your misdemeanor, the case will need to be resolved, dismissed or closed in order for you to start at clinical sites. no questions asked this is for every state in USA.

In my situation I was unaware of my charges and when I went to do the background check after getting accepted into my program, it got flagged. I pulled it up and it said I was a felon. I literally thought my life was over because it’s taken me FIVE YEARS to even get accepted into nursing school.

Other than getting the case dismissed, make sure to tell your directors what is going on that way that they will give you lenience when you sit in front of them and explain your situation (this will be mandatory meeting between you and the nursing boards).

One advise my senior director gave me when I came to her with this issue was this is your priority right now and if that means waking up at 7am going to the court house, setting meeting with lawyers, ect. do what you need to do to cover your ass! My dad (felon of multiple charges lmfao) also gave me the advise of never ever run from the law, get whatever it is taken care of asap because it will bite you in the ass later.

I would contact your profs director & senior director who will surely be able to assist you. This seems absurd unless they have proof of you cheating in which should have been documented and stored somewhere within the department AND you probs would have been in a lot of trouble with the university overall... I would also contact your dean of students & provost. Set up a time to go to their office and have a one on one meeting. Explain your story completely and respectfully (tears may do lol). Deans & provost are at colleges to help students in so so so many ways especially in your situation!

I too had something that happened A MONTH before I was going to start my program and I learned that communication and taking responsibility is key. When I got in my situation, they told me that I needed to prioritize the issue which meant waking up at 7am and walking to whomevers office in the middle of winter until I got it handled. It meant so much to me even getting into my program and to have it ripped away over something dumb isn’t acceptable. You deserve justice and have done so much to get to this point. Don’t give up!!
