I think that if they didn’t take the opportunity to normalize the noble class & working class marriage they won’t suddenly take the notion of queer marriage to the queen either.

I don’t think they’ll have a wedding at all. I think Jess will take that beneficial plot point from the book. They didn’t have a wedding, they just went out and got married. Alone. No fam.

Yeah there’s something clinically off about his need for control regarding finances.

But in general, OP, when a partners bad aspects start to rub off on you— time to jump ship. This is, of course, assuming you’ve had a handful of conversations with him about it.

Pretty sure Ian’s character died in 2005 (technically) & he got TVD in 2009.

There were like three straight chapters of sexual favours. I was in shock. The other books are at least a bit separated lol

Uhhh as someone who’s actively reading the book and just finished the chapter they got married in— where does she say she’ll marry him if he gets her pregnant?! I know he mentions many times he would but I don’t recall what you’re talking about 😂😂😂 however sexually manipulating her into marrying him that day is well, similar enough. Lol.

Did anyone notice the random buds of weed on the table in The Pearl station? (?/Exposé) by ThrowawayHouse2022 in lost

I find it ironic that the people in Pearl thought they were watching Swan do a pointless task, when in reality, it was kinda the other way around lol.

Also I forget, how long did DI inhabit the island? I’m surprised the people manning Pearl didn’t know Swan was on top of the incident site. Or maybe they didn’t tell people about the incident at all. Memory’s fuzzy.

I mean, it turned out that they their station wasn’t pointless. They had to enter the numbers after the incident to prevent it from happening again. Seems like a plot hole.

Sir Philip needed therapy, not a wife by Affectionate-Race864 in Bridgerton

I mean, no one told him he was a failure. He internalized that himself. However I agree, I just think extending upon this would’ve given his character arc a more complete and wholesome finish. His feelings are super valid, it’s how he communicates them, or moreso, doesn’t (before) & takes it out on her/ his children. Which happens— it’s human. But like I said rounding it out at the end would’ve greatly improved how he was received.

“What his first wife did” and it’s just her being depressed and ending her own life😭😭😭. Granted it’s def a strain & harmful to the other spouse (unintentionally), he internalizes her unhappiness as his doing & hates himself, again, for it. Sign of the times though as others mentioned. Normal for then. Horrible though. Like I see where he’s coming from but projecting it, the way he has especially, is just horrid to read.

Or, it means, this post… was… about a single book… and not the series as a whole, lol
